Will these wheels fit on my RX-8?
Hi guys, I just got my dream RX-8. Im so glad and amazed to see that this car has such a following. I can tell that this site is going to be a big help already! I wanted to get some cheap rims (eventually) to put my snow tires on... so i have two questions.
1. Will these wheels fit on the car? 18x8, 5x4.5 bolt pattern, offset ET20
2. IS the TPMS absolutely necessary? Or can i go without it and the only thing i have to worry about is the annoying warning light?
Thank you for your help.

congrats on your purchase. +20 offset is a bit low, i have never heard of anyone going that low, but most people up the width as well. i dont know about that bolt pattern, im just too lazy to convert it, but ours is 5x114.3 so if those are equivalent then theyr good in that sense
tpms is not absolutely necessary for our car. most people here dont use them on their aftermarket wheels

the bolt pattern matches
offset wise, you probably might rubb in the front. how bad the rubb will depend on your tire size. the rear should be fine, although there's a chance it could rub if depending on tire size as well, which could be fixed with a slight fender roll.
my suggestion, find wheels with higher offsets.

So... If im getting this right... the lower offset is pushing the wheels out more? Is that right? Ohhh... and I would be putting the stock size tires on them P225/45R18. I dont understand this offset thing at all.
