ZEALS FUNCTION Xs Installed!!!

If you look carefully, I didn't actually say I thought the JICs were better.
As you say, I have not driven both, so I don't know. I'm just expressing dissapointment over the level of adjustability. A high quality damper is a great thing, and I'd take a non-adjustable damper over an adjustable one, if the quality difference & performance was there to back up the non-adjustable. So, yeah, I could believe a 6-click Zeal (or KW, or Penske, etc) is "better" than a 16-click JIC. I just think that at that price point they should give me nice, small steps between the clicks so I can tweak the handling the way I want it.
And yes, I agree with you about the subjective statements. But then handling on the street is largely a subjective affair anyway.

Absolutely George. We're on the same page. Zeal does offer a 30 way adjustable but it's even more expensive. I have no argument in the fact that I too think Zeals are very very very pricey but at least it's a difference that shows in its performance.
Sorry I get worked up whenever i hear stoptech or JIC compared to endless or zeal. It can be frustrating at times trying to justify the additional cost based on little end user experience with the products.

So Zeal doesn't currently have any electronic gimmicks. They did showcase a controller but strictly for track purposes in conjuntion with their double adjustable coilovers. This allowed for quick rebound or compression changes to fine tune the balance. For the normal coilovers they do not have a controller.
However in the rear they have used an extension on the adjuster so it relocates into your trunk for EASY ACCESS.

i can tell you....it only takes me less than a minute to adjust the dampening on the whole car for all four corners. The Front 2 are hiding under the strutbar which is easily accesible and just like Rishie said the two in the back have an extension on the adjuster so it can easily be adjusted. real simple

LOL - I have a friend from college there to hook up with, and my wife has an old friend there also. So, if I make the trip, maybe I'll join the zeal club Just thinking ahead a little.
I have the MS springs and shocks currently, but I can't stop spending my money!

My RX8 is about as low as you can go in the rear. If however, you were to purchase a shorter spring for the rear you can definitely get some tuckage. I can set the car up right now to tuck in the front, but basically have a 0 finger gap in the rear.

Joined the club yesterday - I purchased the last set at the one time low price that Rishie has quoted.
Should have them on in two weeks. I leave town for Detroit next week, and won't be back for a week.

I'm pretty excited to get these - spent my supercharger nest egg on them. (Sorry Richard )
Rishie is going to prest them for me, but I will have a motorsport tuner up in Seattle do the install. I'm going to corner balance the car with me in it, then set the alignment and suspension.

i believe the spring rate for the Function Xs are 8kg in the front and 6kg in the rear.
as for the Function X, they are 10kg in front and 8kg in the rear.
correct me if i'm wrong?
