AxialFlow S2 Shifter

Yes I have the bearing race. I don't know about any weak springs.
I don't recall ever hearing this.
The spring is about the same pressure as stock. Also I had them made from stainless steel so they would last forever.
Your welcome to a new spring but I doubt you can change it yourself.
It might have to come back here to go in the fixture.
It's not impossable you'll just need 3 or 4 hands.
I can't understand how come everyone was bugging me for S2 shifters and there is still one left??

Just traded my S1 in on an R3 and panicked upon realizing that I'll be losing my AFE short shifter! I sent Rich a message and discovered that he's out of S2 shifters and has no plans to make more unless he can get 10 buyers for a new batch.
Any takers? Anyone? Bueller?

Only seven people left until S2 shifting bliss!
For all of you upgrading your S1 to an S2 transmission, think about completing the upgrade with an S2 short shifter. Unless we can get at least 10 people to commit, there won't be any S2 short shifting fun for you!

Negative on a group buy discount. Rich needs at least ten committed buyers in order to make another run of shifters cost-effective. Now if you were able to get a hundred buyers, then it might be a possibility, but seeing how it's been difficult to even get ten, I'm not hopeful.

Take me off the list. I picked one up from Mazdatrix as soon as I saw the post, lol. Just installed it this afternoon and boy, what a difference! getting the housing on and off was somewhat of a pain in the ***, as there was no room to get a socket in, but I managed. Besides that, install was pretty straightforward.
Shifts are now so much better! Shift engagement feels more precise, more positive, and more willing. Throw is reduced at the expense of effort, but the increased effort is worth it and not very noticeable. Out of our 3 other family cars ( 2004 STi w/ kartboy shifter, 2007 Mazdaspeed3 with TWM shifter [ not the full kit w/ plate ], and s2000 w/ stock shifter ) I'd place the rx8's shifting at a very close second to the s2000. Keep in mind that I have a much-lighter-than-stock shift ****, which reduces the feel of 'solidness' that a heavier **** has. I also have not changed my transmission fluid yet.
There is some slight buzzing at higher RPMs with mid to high load but it's not that audible. The improved shift quality is completely worth it. Overall I'm very satisfied with the shifter and hope you guys are able to find a few more so Richard can make you a batch.

You haven't tried the Axialflow shifter for the S2000?
That poor Honda getting left out of the fun.
All the Honda guys kept saying that there was no need for a shift kit, until
they tried the Axialflow.
There were so many naysayers on that forum that I told them "OK I wouln't make it then"
Then I made it.
Really, go look it up on their forum.
