Does the MazdaSpeed CAI fit the SII Engine? And What About the Warranty?

1. Does the MazdaSpeed CAI fit the SII Engine?

2. What does it do to the warranty? The parts guy at the dealership said he thought it would void the warranty on any part directly affected by its presence, i.e. MAF Sensor, but not the entire engine. He said this is because it's designed for the SI engine, not the SII.

I believe it would since its pretty much the same air intake
it wont affect warranty, you still have the original MAF in it.

The Mazdaspeed 2009 brochure for the RX-8 parts shows the CAI part numbers as follows:

GRMS-8M-K30 - 2004-2008
GRMS-8M-K50 - 2009

The K30 will not fit the 2009/2010 R3. The 2009 Mazdaspeed accessories brochure is here:

http://www.mazdaspeeddevelopment.com/pdfs/msacc.pdf

It is listed as a green performance accessory and therefore will not impact the vehicle's warranty.
