Are SII Foglight bulbs 9006?

I don't have a manual.

 

Yes, I found out the hard way. I used to have an 05 GT which used H11's so I ordered a set for my 09 R3. Tried to install them and realized Mazda changed them to 9006's. You can always visit http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts to see which bulbs go in just about every car.

Are they installed the same way? Get behind the fender liner and shove your arm up there or is it easier now?

 

Helluva lot easier... just pull off the chrome piece (pull hard, but equally). Then unscrew and pull down then out. I had a little trouble with the back of the harness hitting the oil coolers, but with a little finangling (s/p?) it comes out.

Then reverse instructions for reinstall...
