Paging Sir Ash8, I require your expertise once again!

VIN# JXXXXXXXXXXXXX 2006 RX-8 MT

Well, the dealer just told me I have a hairline crack in my fuel pump and it's leaking. I found a youtube video showing how to swap out the pump so I think I might have a go at it.

Can you let me know the part numbers for any parts I'll need? The fuel pump and anything else I might need to swap it out?

Edit: I think I need some kind of tool to remove the ring around the fuel pump. Is there a part number for that?

You best look on here (in Forum DIY) for fuel pump removal and tools for the ring, and there are no parts for pump separately, you have to buy the complete pump. N3H1-13-35ZG

https://www.parkmazdaoemparts.com/pa...&siteid=215334

The Mazda Pump Ring removal tool is about $200 to buy.

Does any one know the proper number for an up graded starter for the 2004 automatic ?. I know the original starter was under powered at 1.4 or 1.8 KW and the up graded starter for the automatic is a 2.0 KW . Advanced auto has a starter for the automatic that is 2.0 KW so in lue of no other information available i thought i would try that one for $131.00 at advanced auto parts because it is boasted to be 2.0 KW in power rating which is better than the original 1.4 KW or 1.8 KW. Unless any one has any conflicting information.

I can now "search and interpret" all Mazda models for the USA, Canada, Australian, and UK/Europe markets..

To ensure 101% accuracy please post your VIN Number, or post what your Spare Part request is here in this thread or
separately PM me your VIN Number if you do not want to disclose VIN # here in this thread.

The VIN # is usually located on your cars Bulk Head or Fire Wall or in the front pages of your Service Handbook.

Depending on your Region (country) it will look like the following EXAMPLES..

JM1FE1C45A0404332 (North America or Canada)
JMOFE103290301052(Australia)
JMZSE103180200332 (Europe)

With your VIN number you and I can be 100% sure of the correct Paint Color or Trim Combination or Transmission and or features
..like Stereo's, with or without Spoiler or Sunroof or correct Suspension or Brake details , etc, etc

Please keep in mind that I am in Australia and there could be a slight delay, however I try to check out the club site daily.

BTW:::The Side (Left Hand or Right Hand Side) of any car (either Left- LHD or Right Hand Drive - RHD)
is determined as you sit in your car, left is left, right is right.
NOT as you are looking at your car from the outside.

MAZDA PARTS MATCHING
Sometimes when you are repairing your car you may lose a Nut, break a Bolt or Stud, or lose a Screw or a Clip??.
Let me know and I can tell you where you may find the same part you need from somewhere else in your car that is perhaps not so important.
At least you can get your car back on the road while you wait for a new replacement to arrive.

I can also tell you if the Part you are looking for can't be purchased new but may be used in another MAZDA model from a Junk Yard or Car Wrecker.

ALSO.. If you have any old Mazda Parts with Part Numbers attached I can tell you exactly what model Mazda's they are designed for
from 1970 on-wards, all I need is the Mazda Part Number.

Every Mazda Part and Part Number ever made can tell you the history and model use of said individual OEM Spare Parts.
Every OE Mazda Part and Mazda Special Tool PART NUMBER is dissected into three sections.
1. The actual Model Number (code) of the original Mazda this Spare Part was made for (FIRST ALL NEW MAZDA MODEL USED IN) (4 Numbers/Letters).
2. The actual Vehicle LOCATION of the said part and where it is located or installed (2 Numbers).
3. The actual Part Number of the said part (4 Numbers/Letters).

Three Examples..

N3R1-18-541 Oil Pressure Switch
N3R1 - is for 2009 Series 2 RX-8 - 18 is Location of Engine Electrical - 541 is the actual Part Number.

0839-52-310B Bumper Bar Centre Rear.
0839 - is from 1971 RX-2 Capella - 52 is Location of Body Panels - 310B is the actual Part Number.

49-F042-001 Wrench, Fuel Pump
49 - is Mazda Special Tools - F042 is from 2003 RX-8 Series 1 - 001 - is tool Part Number.

SO WHAT DO I NEED FROM YOU..

1.VIN NUMBER..and Year of RX-8...
2.THE 'PART' YOU REQUIRE AND sometimes IT'S LOCATION... IS IT ON THE LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE OF CAR?...'see above in RED'
3.A REPLY FROM YOU FOR ANY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION CONCERNING THE PART INFO YOU WANT FROM ME...

TO TRY AND KEEP THIS THREAD CONCISE WITHOUT UNRELATED COMMENT IF YOU WISH TO 'SUBSCRIBE' USE THE
"Thread Tools" LOCATED ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THIS THREAD..Please.

I recommend purchasing your OEM parts from RX-8 Club forum Vendors like Mazmart and or our forum on-line Advertisers.

PLEASE BE AWARE: DO NOT REQUEST HELP OR PART NUMBERS IF THE INFO IS ALREADY

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

THE USE OF NON GENUINE MAZDA PARTS...

Please be very careful on what renewable and non genuine replacement car Parts you install or have installed in your Mazda.

40+ years ago I used to think that I could not see much or any difference between genuine and cloned or replicated new parts, or the so called better engineered 'performance' or copied Mazda Parts as being a money saver for car owners as they were a 1/4 of the price than from a new car Mazda Dealer 'Spare Parts Department".

Well a WARNING, most are not better, in fact they are inferior and poorly made where you can not see The inside. And or down right dangerous.

A few recent reminders...

1. eBay RX-8 Ignition Coils (for Spark Plugs) while they look 99.5% OEM and original, they simply are not, they are inferior and a cheap knock off which will not last and in actual fact puts your CAT and Engines reliability at risk, many of these cheap Coils last only a few hundred miles.

2. Cloned 'Clock Springs', these are a multi-tasking module directly behind your Steering Wheel, it's purpose is for electrical supply to Steering Wheel push buttons, audio, indicators and most importantly Air Bag power supply and ignition in case of deployment.
Currently in 2015 Toyota Australia are trying to locate many of these installed cheap knock offs and will sue those sellers who are putting Toyota's reputation at risk and also severely compromising the safety of the owner driver.

It is just not worth the risk to you, your family or other road users.

I want to replace front brake pads and some pads specify "sports suspension". How do I know if my car has that? The VIN is JM1FE17N550147067 Left Hand Drive 2005

Rx-8 r3

Hi Guys! I am owner of RX-8 facelift and I want to put in my car a front bumper from R3. The problem is that, my car does not have the mechanism that cleans the front lights, so I have to put the bumper out of R3 that does not have this device from the factory. This bumper outside does not have the two square plastic lids just below the lights. MAZDA needs a chassis number from an R3 which is not equipped with the above mechanism from the factory. My problem is that, I can not find a chassis number from an R3 with this bumper. I am also from Greece and MAZDA can do the order only with European chassis numbers. I would like your help guys if we can find a chassis number from R3 which is from Europe and have the bumper I need. Greetings!!

Ok, my Greek friend, you are lucky I am in a good mood right now to reply, please don't ask a thousand questions I am getting old and tired ..

OK the Washers are for Headlamps not Fog-lights.

YOU WILL NEVER FIND a EU RX-8 R3 WITHOUT Headlamp Cleaners as it was and is law for all cars with HID Lighting must have Headlamp Cleaners for EU and Australia.

So you will never find any EU R3 VIN that does not have Cleaners as they were NEVER Sold there, your Mazda Dealer or Distributor will ONLY import parts for cars they sell, same in Australia, this is for good reason, if any customer says whey don't want it after ordering the Distributor or Dealer is stuck with the part imported from Japan for a car they have never sold..

ANYWAY, here is the part number for R3 Bumper Cover without the TWO HOLES for Headlamp Cleaner...ONLY the USA has these and this is from a US R3 VIN.

Part Number...F1Y7-50-03XB BB Cover Bumper R3 Without Headlamp Cleaner (USA)

ASH8 thank you very much for your answer. Your knowledge has helped me a great deal and at least now I know that what I am looking for can not be found in Europe because of specifications. Because R3 is very rare especially in Greece, we do not know much about it. Thank you again!

Hi guys! I would be very grateful if you could tell me if the part number for 4 port uk rx8 halogen headlights (koito 100-61015) is any different from the continental european part number. I have seen xenon headlights with part numbers 100-61012, 100-61013, 100-61014, but halogen only 100-61015. so is there any difference (in part numbers, not rhd vs lhd beam)? please let me know I am trying to register rhd rx8 in continental europe and I have swapped the cut off shield so the lights work fine for driving on the right, but I have to know if i have to remove the part number so the inspection guy doesn t make a fuss about such stupid things... Thanks

I recently had one of the wheels replaced on my 2009 R3. Car was scraped in a parking lot. The center cap from my original wheel was removed and the body shop apparently attempted to install it on the new wheel. They had it wedged in good enough that it stays in when I drive, nut all of the tabs are now cracked so it looks like it's just a matter of time before it comes off. The center bore on the new wheel is smaller on the side where the center cap goes in than on my three remaining original wheels.

According to Jim Ellis Mazda's website, there are 4 center cap part numbers: G22C37190A, F19537190, F19737190 and BBM237190. I suspect F19537190 and F19737190 are for the R3 since they are listed as being for cars with the large spoiler. Question is which one do I buy? The realmazdaparts.com site listed above only seems to have F19737190. The numbers molded into the back of my center caps are as follows:

2874
BASE>PP0+PA<
E
MARK
>ABS<

Worst case, I guess I can just buy one of each of the 2 I think are for the R3. But I'd prefer to not buy a part I don't need.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm located in the US and am guessing my VIN won't be of any help since the I'm looking for the center cap for a replacement wheel.

This is showing as invalid from what I have looked up. Where are you located?

Year, engine and transmission? That's all the info that's needed. You could also use the Denso website to find it, which makes the OEM units.

Hi, I'm located in Indonesia.
Mine is 2010 AT (should be 212hp 6 port), Red.

N3H2-18-861C-9U is the correct part number from what I have looked up. Alternatively, you can get a Denso 234-4349 from Denso directly.

As for the OEM iPod kit... The numbers look right, but I personally don't think it's worth it, assuming you can even find a kit from somewhere anymore. There are 2 better alternatives I can think of without messing with electricals:

- Buy an iPod knockoff for US$20 and an AUX cable for cheap, and there you go.

- Buy a CD burner and a CD-RW, and burn your music on it. Sounds old school, but I use it and if you have the OEM Bose, you can turn on CenterPoint for some pretty good-sounding music.

Thanks a lot!

Yeah about the ipod, previously I was thinking to build a small computer with 7" display based on android, to automatically show the OBD information whenever the car start, and also to emulate an ipod and play the music from spotify, thus I can still control the spotify from my steering wheel.

ADR S2 Auto RX-8 N3H2-18-861C is correct O2 rear side Sensor.(last).
N3R1-18-8G1 is the first TOP Air/Fuel Sensor.

Take it you looking for Bluetooth Adapter?
Strongly advise you steer away from these Genuine units, nothing but trouble and cost and arm and a leg, can't reference Part Numbers.
Get an aftermarket BT adapter, some good ones around you can plug into AUX for sound, and get a 12V (USB Adapter) for Power, what I use in both MX-5 and RX-8 and can use for sound and phone calls.
I stream BT music from my Android Phone, easy and not bad for digital sound. (can scroll up and down to select sound).

Post Starter motor?

Hi, I've just purchased an rx8 that had no starter motor, vin Jmzse17n200132925.
Any way I can find out what starter motor is meant to be fitted as I've seen several different ones.
Thanks in advance

If it's a manual transmission with a 6-port engine, then just get the starter for the S2(2009+) RX-8 6-port manual. The starters for 6-port manuals are all interchangeable.
