AUX Input problem
Hey everyone, I just picked up a 2010 R3, and I love it. I am, however, having an issue with the auxiliary line. I've tested it with 4 cables, and 4 devices and they all produce the same issue. Basically, when I use the aux line, the sound quality is garbage. Singers voices don't play at all, there is virtually no bass, and about 80% of what you hear is that shimmering, artifact sound. Think of an MP3 you downloaded off of napster in 2001.
Here is where it gets really weird. If I pull out the aux line from the device ever so slightly, the sound quality clears up and is perfect. I have fiddled with the connection to the car, and I can't replicate it on that end, only when I pull the end connected to my device. I've taken the car to Mazda, Best Buy, and several car audio shops in my city, and they all tell me the same thing. "That's the strangest thing I've ever seen." Tested with a Galaxy Nexus, PSVita, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4s, as well as unique cables for each device. I'm open to any and all suggestions.
