But now I replaced the entire head unit with something more modern, I now have dual BT, aux and USB.
When you did that head replacement - do you still have your LED clock and other LED indicator functions. Take a few pics and report back - curious minds want to know.
You mean the displays at the top? Yeah, everything works, the only thing I "lost" is the outside temperature but only because now I don't have a dedicated button and have to go into a menu to see it.
If you keep the OG Stereo you can power down the aftermarket and hook the OG back up temporarily to adjust the display ( When I installed my Android auto unit I pulled the connector off to the passenger side for easy access and tucks away, you cant even spot it). Once you unplug it will save until you mess with your battery.
I think that an aftermarket Android unit is the best to keep the 8 feel more up to date. I installed my USB port next to AUX port on the arm rest.
I've been very happy with my Griffin iTrip AUX bluetooth connector - since I installed in 2015. No feedback. Only drawback is the occasional will not auto connect - I open the handrest and push the blue button.
BT did not come with my S2 Luxury....I think it was standard from about 2010 or 2011 MY
And yes I use an AUX Adaptor and Power (2 Amp) USB in 12V similar to above.
I know at the time I looked at getting the Genuine Mazda Accessory, but my PM told me they are nothing but trouble, get the aftermarket adaptor.

I have my set up all complete except i used maestro instead and have gauges and steering wheel controls but none of the lcd info, think i could buy that pac thing and use them both, so you dont have temperature readong on the lcd screen? i thought this allowed that, mine rn wont go higher than 70, thanks
