Lowering R3 Recaros?

Has anyone developed a mod to lower the R3 Recaros? Didn't find anything when I searched, but maybe I didn't look hard enough.

Not yet. I'm still interested, but I got no response here and haven't been able to work on it myself.

A common way to do it is to take the bottom foam out and shave about an inch off of it.

There is a thread on it here somewhere, but not sure if it was specific to the Recaro's or all seats. Something to do with the mounting brackets underneath if I recall. I don't have time to look for it, but it is here somewhere.

TRACKS & COMPONENTS for 2011 Mazda RX-8

If I'm looking at that correctly, the Recaros have their own seat rail, so I'd imagine the solution would have to be Recaro-specific.
