Brake Rotor rust on inside of wheels?
I live in VA and it's been raining alot recently. As a result the brake rotors get some surface rust on them. Thus the first time you hit the brakes all the rust gets slung inside the wheel.
Do the factory rotors not come plated like some cars do? If they don't do new brembo blanks come plated? Is the dust shield supposed to catch this stuff?

pretty lame if you ask me. Luckily the coating on the r3 wheels and the openness of the wheel makes it easy to wipe out. but still retarded if you ask me. You drop 30k on a brand new sports car and if it sits for a day you get rotor rust =(

Geez, what do you expect, the Disc is steel, when you stop you are cleaning steel, if you don't use your car and water gets on the rotors, naturally they will rust, every car I have ever had does the same.
Now as far as the fine surface rust mark on the rotor boss/ wheel nut area between brake disc area and boss, I rubbed a little WD40 (or fine oil) on this area and ends of vented rotor disc's and have No Surface Rust even after 2 years.
