Oil Pressure Blind Plug Extension

Oil Pressure Blind Plug Extension
K fellas got a question. So I replaced my prosport halo gauges with prosport evo gauges. Everything went swimmingly except that the EVO gauges use the non-premium oil pressure sender (the larger, more common one, the HALO gauges used the premium sender). Well that didn't fit in the area where the S2's oil blind plug is (too close to firewall). The solution was to use: Remote oil pressure sender.
Everything fit well and is installed, but I cannot help but wonder if I just added a serious failure point to the engine. I think back when S2 owners started talking about oil filter relocations, the question of "can the hoses support the higher pressures" came up. Now I dont see any leaks or anything, nor does the hose get hot (after a ~30 min drive to work). Any ideas on if this method is safe?
Btw for those that dont know:

Kster and I installed an oil temp sensor on his R3. We ended up using the Corksport banjo bolt on one of the oil cooler banjo bolts. Much easier install and no extra hose to fail. Only thing is his temp sensor was a one wire one so I had to add a ground to the banjo bolt itself. If you get a two wire sensor - you can remote mount the ground elsewhere. I think he uploaded pics on the forum before?

Cheaper....the bigger ones are simple, typically one wire resistor and not as accurate. This type of pressure senders have been used in cars forever! The first generation RX-7s used this kind. The smaller ones are usually three wire pressure transducers that are more accurate. Haha like anything in technology - smaller = pricier!

lol yup i hear ya. And incase anyone was looking to do the same thing i did ... going from one prosport gauge to the EVO series .. it isn't easy .... not only do they not provide you a set of sender wiring (which was really nice with the halo series ... i just kep that wiring there, tore off the connectors, and used them for the EVO gauges), but the senders themselves are all different (different resistance levels) so I had to replace my water temp / oil temp sensors. No fun.
