Rear Brake Calliper Piston Tool Details...will it fit and what size

Got one of these Calliper Piston winder in tools after an issue with my sisters KIA Cerato Rear Brakes, it has similar Rear Calliper Piston/Park or Emergency Brake set up in the RX-8.....

Does anyone know if this tool (see pic) will fit the RX-8, and does anyone know the actual distance between the TWO Pins (on the RX-8 Piston) that the tool locks onto the Calliper Piston to wind it back in.

Thanks

I've used a different tool with success - see attached. The pins on mine are about 7mm in diameter are are spaced 27mm apart edge to edge, or something like 34mm center of pin to centre of pin - hope that helps!

so 5mm and 23mm versus 7mm and 27mm - its sounds like the next size down as such compared to the tool I used. The pins go into a sort of Y shaped slot in each side of the caliper so there is some room for tool variation but it can't be too narrow between the pins as the very centre part of the caliper is solid. At a guess I'd say what you have is going to work okay.

Otherwise, this is the exact kit I have and it'll fit anything:

I have that exact same caliper tool and it worked fine for me.

There is a great DIY on this subject. I know the author states the exact size spanner to use. I want to say is was _ _-14 (the blanks being letters I dont recall at the moment) My cube isn't labeled, though, so I have no idea what size it is.

That one worked fine for me too Ash. Had no issues spinning the piston in one bit. Boots were a little dry and had to lube them up to get them back in the groves. But that was it.

Thanks guys!!!..

The one I have looks the same as the pic above, but, is a chrome color...so I guess it is the same unit?

My cube takes a 3/8th square wrench fitting, the cube itself is one inch square..

Sound about correct?
