I have been asked for OE Mazda Part Numbers for the S2 RX-8 ECU or PCM.
These are ALL the Series 2 Mazda OEM Part Numbers for the North American market.
All are brand new and not remans.
Contrary to popular belief there is more than 1 Genuine PCM for the Series 2 RX-8.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION S2..
N3R4-18-881M California
N3R6-18-881M Federal-Canada
MANUAL TRANSMISSION S2..
N3R5-18-881M California
N3R7-18-881M Federal-Canada
IF you are after exact confirmation on which new ECU/PCM to order, please PM me your FULL VIN #.
Please Note: The tear off or 'etched on' Part Number(s) info that Mazda installed or used originally on your car at production may or has changed,
the new units could have a slightly different issued part number, see new replacement lists above.
This applies to most vehicle installed parts on your car which in most cases does not resemble the issued replacement part number.
IF you are buying a used or a part out PCM/ECU as long as the Part Number is the same as your original, all will be fine, it will still have to be configured though with Mazda IDS.
/\ That VIN is a strange one as 'Japan' JDM does not use JM0, as JM0 is actually ADR (Australian Design Rules).
My own white beast S2 is exact same VIN with last 2 digits are the only difference, mine is 409 yours is 411, so were made on same day in 2008.
Anyway my Australia EPC does not find your VIN but my own car is there, but the good news is my online one does find your VIN.
And it says it is a AUST (model), Sunlight Silver Auto with STD power 4 port, interesting as Australian S2's never had 4 ports for AUTO.
PCM is Mazda PN N3S5-18-881C

I get this info on several VIN sites. Always comes up as a 2009 model. I don't have any build or engine details etc...
