Warranty problem has not been fixed yet, how do I escalate?

hello
I am having a problem with my passenger seat heater, I posted about it here last year

the passenger seat heater does not get warm like the driver's side
is this normal? It has never worked properly since I first purchased the car

so over the course of the past year, I have brought the vehicle back to the dealership 4 times. the first time I dropped the car off they changed the oil, but forgot to check the seat heater.

the next time the man argued with me its not a seat heater its a seat warmer. the time after that they told me it was working fine, I got home and it's not working fine.

this FOURTH TIME, I had them talk with the technician, the heat gun shows the seat padding at 85 degrees. isn't that less than body temperature?
anyway, they didnt fix crap.

I had the service manager sit in the chairs and he said he could feel difference but he didnt know if that was normal. He told me the seat heater reaches a certain temperature and then turns off. that's nice, but it needs to get warm first. So the little light button works and the heater element works but something is wrong with the padding like I told these idiots for a year.

So what do I do now?
it's obvious they don't want to change the seat. And I don't care, all i want is the seat heater to get warm and work properly.

Do I need to call someone to start a warranty complaint or payment request? Or should I go to another dealership?

When I had a problem I just called and asked for the warranty people at the dealership and they helped me. My problem was less subjective than yours(85 degrees seems heated enough to me?) but try that. Also another dealership might help as well like you said.

Ask then To show you the specs of how hot should the seat warmer actualy warm, if its bellow theres a probleme, now is it the elements them self in the seat or something in the system introduciing resistance lowering the output of the elements, who knows, thats their job to find out.

Everything has their Specs in the shop manual, they can find them and they can prove right or wrong, Call Mazda HQ and complain about bad service at that Dealer, and something will get done

I called the mazda main number 1-800-639-1000
after talking to the person about the problem he called over to the same dealership to verify what had been done and then told me everything was working in spec and there was nothing he could do. I then asked him if he was denying my warranty and he said he was not because everything was working in spec, what a useless tard.

He did say I could take it to another dealership to have it looked at and if I still had problems he would have the regional manager contact me. I should not have to go through all this BS on a brand new car.

Have you actually compared your car vs another car to see if your car is different, or if both cars are the same?

I've seen it happen for ac & dash gages. Even little intermittent unable to pinpoint noises

Make enough noise and one can get anything.

Don't be stupid, I paid 3000$ extra for a grand touring model plus another 3000$ on top for an extended warranty. I should not have to deal with this kind of BS over a seat heater, they should just fix it.

the second dealership called me today and said it was 70 degrees and they were not going to fix it because it was working.

first of all, ambient room temperature is 76, so I know this mechanic is incompetent if he thinks that's hot enough.
second of all I spoke with mazdausa last week and they told me proper spec was 85-90 so I know it is not in spec.

REGARDLESS none of these idiots are listening to the complaint. The problem is when you sit in the chair it is not warm because the something is wrong with the PADDING. The little button on heater thing under the seat are fine.

I called mazdausa again and they are supposed to get back to me tomorrow. Hopefully I can get the regional manager to look at the car.

I can't believe I'm going to have to file a LAWSUIT against mazda over a seat heater. This will definitely be the last mazda I ever buy and I've owned many over the years. Anyway, I'll post back what happens this week.

I can't believe it either.

You may just have high expectations for the heaters - they tend to give a tiny, pitiful surge of warm in the first mile of travel, then I don't even know they are on, no matter how far the trip.

So they could be '100% factory spec' and yet still be weak as a beanfart.

Just the way they are.

alright man, I'm listening
please explain to me why the driver and passenger heat seater should not be the same? my 'expectation' is very simple to explain. the heat seater should work like the driver side. There is never any warmth, absolutely nothing. a temp gun will register the backing is warm meaning the circuit works.

You know what pete? I may just have to get a knife and cut this seat open myself. But like I said many times before, there is nothing wrong with the wiring or buttons. the problem is the PADDING.

anyway, after talking with the mazda usa again, the product manager is supposed to look at the car sometime this coming week

You're the one who spent SIX THOUSAND EXTRA DOLLARS for a car with a busted PASSENGER seat heater, and a bad dealer experience, and you're calling ME stupid?

Get over yourself.
