Question do rx8 TPMS take aspecial valve stem core?

I was told by my friend that the TPMS sensors on the 8 take a special type of stem core?? is this true??? here is a pic of what im talking about.

The pic is too small to tell, but they look like a standard core to me.

I don't know for sure though.

If you take tpms from one rim and install them on another, it's recommended that you get a tpms service kit. It comes with a valve core, the aluminum nut, a rubber gasket, a aluminum gasket (compression fits on rim) and one or two different coloured plastic valve caps. Go to ebay and search mazda tpms service kit and for about 10 or 11 dollars, you can get four packs shipped. The rubber and the aluminum gaskets are the important part to make a good air tight seal and they are supposed to be torqued properly to the rim.
