Car has all black interior and every option but Navigation. Apex seal blew in the engine on my way home from my all highway work commute a couple weeks ago. Either selling it or trading it in - No time to fix.

I have been busy doing maintenance the past few months:
New Battery
New Brakes & Rotors
New Spark Plugs
New Ignition Coils
Continental DWS Tires ($850 set)
Front tires have about 85% tread left
Rear Tires are about 30% (I don't rotate them just replace when the rears get bad and the tires wear almost completely even this way)

I used to be a smoker, HOWEVER this car was never smoked in (The reason I quit is because it smells bad, I never wanted my house or cars to smell like smoke)

I plan on taking a small hit on this vehicle for what I owe but I am trying to minimize that as much as possible - $6,000 OBO

 

Have you looked into new/remanufactured engines for it yet? I'm curious how much total investment someone would have...You have my attention.

 

Yes I have. Engine rebuild would be about 2k roughly with everything shipped. The problem is that I don't have the time to do this. I drive 2 hours a day for work, 84 miles round trip. (less than a mile of my commute is off the highway). Looking like even ordering an engine would take me 2-4 weeks to put everything together.

Another option I looked at was ordering a rebuilt with ceramic seals for $4500 and send them my core for about $750 in return (they cover shipping costs). Forget what the name of this place was but I'm pretty positive I decided I would rather move on to something else.

Walking past her in the garage tonight though I started to become nostalgic.

The car is in Cleveland Ohio btw.

Please note the car has been sitting in my garage not moving for 2 1/2 weeks now... It is a little dusty. I will clean her up before anyone picks up. On a second note you may be more comfortable knowing this car is garaged even when it's not running.

Steering wheel, radio, ect are in great condition. You may see a small square hole in the center console. This was for my radar detector that was hard wired in. I have removed it but would be willing to sell it with the car for a good deal . It is an escort 9500i. There is a small box that popped up through that hole and had a mute button on it. Very easy to install.


Rear Seats are in Perfect condition... I think someone has sat back here three times the entire car's life.


Gauges look great, all lit. (this is night mode). All of my warning lights came on when my engine died.


106,615mi on the car. (clutch was changed about a year ago)

Please understand the car has been sitting for 2 1/2 weeks and it is was my normal daily commuter. It will be vacuumed / washed / waxed / polished before pickup - I have a pressure washer at my location and a claybar to use up on this (as well as rubbing compound, polish, and expensive wax).

 

i could do 3500... or trade for my 04 with 113k miles, (rebuilt engine at 111k miles) plus like 4k on top. GLWS sorry for your loss.
