All I gotta say is if my Fiance doesn't get her licence and drive me around for the next year - I'll take her ring and live life single with my sports car again.
________________________________

I need to give up my beloved, asap.

Its coming to the point where the only major thing we can do to keep the rent going is to give up my car.

Normally, I would have and have fought tooth and nail saying that the car is never going to leave me. I would sleep in the car, etc, etc.

I have three people to support (Life moved fast) and on a 26k yearly income. Trust me, I wouldn't have be making this post after getting the car Ive wanted since 2003. Honestly, next time... Ill be dropping a lot larger sum of money to get my rx8.

After 5 months of budgeting and trying to square money away I've had the hard truth hit me like a cold slap on the weiner.

I am not parting-out my R3. Its either whole car or nothing. Paid in full or taking over payments via Bank's approval. I stand behind my car, but while it is still a mechanical object I've taken precautions to make sure that my used car wouldn't end up on the side of the road. I have not dogged the car, never raced - track, or street. Maintained the interior. Exterior has paint chips, wax on plastic (which Im working to resolve via different methods)

KBB Worth:
Not-Clean record. 1 accident from previous owner. Bought through Carmax and not an ordinary used dealership - so no frame or water damage. Visually, it's different but mechanically it runs great.

As peace of mind: I have had the car inspected (by Pennsylvania Standards) and also Dealership inspected (South Carolina Columbia dealership - Wray Mazda). I've taken all precautions to make sure that there was nothing wrong with the car before I couldn't return it.

The most information I could retrieve about the accident:
4/4/2010 Greenwood, IN. Collision with a Culvert.
I'm going to assume someone backed into it, as the rear bumper is the only off-color fix.

Payment Options to buy: Please keep in mind that my RX-8 is my daily driver and I do NOT have a replacement vehicle. I am not "Upping" the price to gouge or pocket money. I'm "Upping" the price to get a down payment for a cheap little car that'll satisfy the growing needs of a growing family.

1. CarMax AutoFinance Monthly Payments* + 3,000 down payment for old/new car.
2. Pay off Quote: 20436.11 + 3,000 for my downpayment for old/new car.
3. Fiance through another bank** + 3,000 for my downpayment for old/new car.

* I can not guess how much monthly a payment would be. But I would still need 3,000 to attempt to purchase a car as a replacement to my daily driver.

Edit: For number 1- I am asking that you pay the monthly payments (Set by the bank) as well as a 3,000 for myself.

** Go through a bank of financial institution of your choice to pay off the car. You'd use your institution to give a payment to carmax auto finance, and then you'd use your institution instead - and may give you a better rate than CarMax.

Rated with KBB @ Fair (Lowest Setting for prices):
22,090 Private Party Selling.
19,925 Dealer Trade-In.

Modifications:
* CarMax Bought / Installed through - Low Jack.

* BestBuy Installed - Viper 5901 Security System. Auto-Start functional with clutch Bypass. Viper 5901 is the highest available at BestBuy. Professionally installed through Best Buy. Receipt is available. Link

Edit: Yes, this was professionally installed with the clutch bypass through Best Buy. This does not mean you will be able to go through your local Best Buy to have it done, due to safty concerns.
- Always Leave the car in neutral, with the hand brake up.

* Self-Installed - Racing Beat Oil Cooler Screens. Both Oil Cooler screens were installed at the same time, early on. Painted Black. Link

* Self-Installed - WeatherTech Side-Window deflectors. Installed to keep the rain out, but let the hot air from the inside out. These can be uninstalled easily. I keep it installed just in case. No tape is needed for a complete install. Link

* Self-Installed - Head Lamp shroud painted black. To tint the headlamps, most people will paint, or put some type of tint ontop of the lens. This decreases the light output, and is illegal in many states. I chose to open the headlamps, and paint the chrome shroud. Giving that "Black" look without touching the lens and the light output. I have not had any problems with leaking. I have not had any problems with the paint cracking. High-Beams do not work.

* Self-Installed - UV LED foot well lamps. Installed through the front cigarette lighter. Velcroed and easily removed.

* Self-Installed - Fog Light Modification. Turns off when the car turns off. Can be turned on and off only when the car is turned on. Can be used as Day-Time Running Lights. No Problems. See here for more info

* Self-Installed - Sparco Carbon Foot Pedals. Installed to help heel-toe shifting.

* Self-Installed - 12 LED Rear Third Light. Installed using old housing to minimize leaks and to promote a flushed installation for longevity.

* Self-Installed - Hoen Fog Lights

I've added all of the information that I could think of just to show to you, the potential buyer, that there's nothing to hide and have confidence in my car and myself. If it was under different financial circumstances, I wouldn't dream of selling my R3.

Bump.

I'll be opening my headlights soon... Please stop me by purchasing my car :P

I'm going to take out the blacked reflectors from the headlights.
As well un-black the high-beam chrome reflector.

I saw $3,000 for an R3, and almost **** a brick. I literally would have canceled my trip to Disney that I'm leaving for in 6 hours, to buy it.

Anywho, good luck with the sale.

I replaced the third brake light with OEM housing, blub and wiring.

When I went over the lights of the car I noticed that the middle section of the LEDs were blown.

I've added notes to the Best Buy Install for the Viper System. I've been asked questions about this install. Best Buy does not officially do the installs with a clutch bypass and if you goto a best buy and call them up - you'll never get it done that way. It took persistance on my part, and another installer to do it the way I needed to.

The best way I can say is to pursade them into do it various ways - Ask if you can sign papers that say "If anything happens and using autostart - I will not come to Best Buy looking for money to fix it", show them the car, show them you know something more about the car than it's got "Blue" paint. Tell them it's a waste to not install auto start when auto start is in the package, i can go through the internet to buy it cheaper, with just the security system."

These are just what I said. Also don't be a ***** about it. You're asking the installer for his help - he doesn't need yours. When it comes to it, he'll probably be busy to the point where he won't really care if you **** off and goto to another best buy

Also, I've added financial stuff to explain a little bit better.

Update: Reopened my headlights. Using paint stripper, i've taken off the paint from the high beams and the corner signals. Practical move, and still keeps the black look. I have to confess, the signal stripping was a bit messy and not as clean as I wanted it. You'd have to look closely at the headlamps to see the mess. Ill post pictures in a little bit.

Yes. Now I have high beams and people don't stare at me when I have my turning signals on :P
