most are straying away from 04 models even with low miles and great condition. The ones who might be interested are most likely younger with no actual cash meaning they need a loan. with the value of an 04 the bank most likely will not give out 13k.
In my opinion you would come out better money wise with a complete partout if you still have stock parts available and lower your price of the car to move it.
I feel like only a collector will be willing to pay 13k as mazda only releases yellow the first production year. Great looking car. GLWS

It is obvious from the condition of the vehicle and the parts he is selling and/or including he is an enthusiast. It would be a shame if he is letting it go for financial reasons, but if he isn't he should absolutely NOT part it out (OEM) and wait for the right buyer. The economy sucks, but having the ability to pay $500+ for a mod is a luxury. His market is other enthusiasts and he should wait for someone who recognizes what he is getting.

If the OP is in a rush to sell, then parting out would be the best way to do it.
If not, then let the waiting commence.
For instance, I would be interested on getting my hands on some of the parts on this car, as they are quality parts. I would be helping the OP make some money.
At the same time, I know that if I were to sell my car, I would hate to see it torn up and spread across the continent, after all the work I put into it.
It's a matter of financial management and convenience.

Sorry it's taking so long to respond - I was not forwarded any updates to the posting to my email account. Maybe I disabled that function here?
Anyway, thanks to everyone for your posts. I am not interested in parting out the vehicle as I've moved into an apartment complex with no place to work on the car. I also do not have most of OEM parts needed and would have to search for quality used pieces or order them. As you could tell, that would be cost prohibitive. I do have the OEM wheels, if anyone is interested! Lol.
If anyone has any questions on the condition of the car from a technical standpoint, I would simply refer you to Mark Shuler of Tri-Point Engineering (TPE) in Chatsworth, CA. TPE has done extensive, quality work on my car and has seen the condition of almost every engine/drivetrain and exhaust component. Mark actually sourced NGK RX-8 specific race plugs from Japan. According to NGK, my car was the first street-driven RX-8 in the U.S. to have these plugs.
Am I an enthusiast? I guess you can tell I knew what I was doing when building this car.
While I am in no hurry to sell, I have lowered the price due to the austere economic environment. Sucks for me - great news for the potential buyer.

I'll definitely will take and post some new pictures shortly - everything is in perfect condition. You can almost detect that new car smell from the interior!

Sorry to anyone waiting on updates - I haven't been on here in a while. The car was sold AND I got my asking price!
If you live in and around Orange/L.A./Riverside Counties, you may see this baby driving around, so show the new owner some RX8Club love!
