9k i gotta say you were right, floor gets pretty hot (pics look similar to my car) i ordered a PTP blanket and once i get the exhaust on i will fab up a sheilld for the down pipe. really only and issue when were around 30 C (100F) in stop and go traffic (july weather in Canada). also mounted a fire extinguisher in the truck just in case for multiple reasons... always good to have.
Looks good, I have had the Turbo XS for a few years. I have the BHR midpipe but I have been contemplating throwing the Turbo XS on to see how it sounds. I would never run it without a Turbo though.
i can't imagine running an NA rotary on the streets with 3" straight back.
thinking about returning my PTP blanket, to get it to fit i'm thinking it might have to be mangled/ not worth the effort. we installed an aluminum heat shield last night over the down pipe which i hopefully will see some good results keeping the floor from melting.

If you got the blanket for the T25 it fits perfect for the Greddy.
ya T25 but i jus shipped it back, because even on a hoist to get it in there is next to impossible without mangling it. should have bought this earlier when engine was out.
I made a shield out of ceramic cored aluminium sheet that I could just slide up and around the turbine housing . Had zero heat issues over the 6 years I ran the Greddy setup.

finally go around to detailing the outside of the car, used Norton compound with water and foam pad. if you don't know what you're doing when it comes to compounding and polishing things can go south very fast especially on a black car. turned out great still lots of small cleaning and details to get but about 90% there now.
next;
fuel pump, plugs, oil change, meth hook up and tune.

Just caught up on this, nice stuff man.... Just out of curiousity, the BNR upgraded Greddy is capable of hitting 16psi and stay in it's efficiency range? I always thought 10-12psi was kind of the "max" for that turbo?

I hit 16psi on my 60-1 . Would I recommend that to anyone who wanted to keep their engine in one piece ? Hell no ! The exhaust side is so constrictive I shudder to even think what the backpressure is at that boost.
You are quite correct 12psi is a good safe limit for that turbo.
it's a completely different turbo all together compared to the Greddy, and can easily flow 16 psi before VE decline.
the engine is the limiting factor i would say for 12 psi in stock form due to the high compression. As Brettus mentioned the exhaust is very restrictive, to slightly combat that we have beveled the exhaust port to keep the heat down and help flow, also i have larger internal waste gate, over sized apex seals/ modified corner seals.
in a perfect world the renny was never meant to be boosted.....
My guess is that doing that is why it wont hold boost . You could tweak the wastegate arm to improve it but looks like a safe output for that setup so probably best left alone .
it's my understanding that BNR just ported the opening slightly for the waste gate; to simply aid with the higher expected boost.
although i'm sure with tweaks and some upgrades i could run 16 psi i'm wondering if i should even bother now. my goal was to run boost safely and hit around the 300 mark anyway.
