Back in the RX-8 game
It has certainly been a long time since I was an active member here.
Since then, I have sold my original 8 to purchase a mint 93' FD.
It was a great car but I got the itch to do an LS1 swap. That car had 45k original miles and I couldn't stand cutting it apart, so it was sold too. Next up was a clean 95' ready for the LS1 swap. Unfortunately, life has gotten in the way of progress, but it is still moving forward, slowly but surely.
After being too slow on the progress of that, I was informed the 8s were insanely cheap and in less than a week a I had a new 8 with a blown motor for dirt cheap.
I picked up a new motor and swapped it in. It is now running well and I am nearly done getting it cleaned up cosmetically. I'm glad just to have a fun toy again. I really missed my 8 (probably more than my 7, but don't tell the 7club) and I'm glad to be back. Not sure what my plans are with the car, but it will be fun, I'm sure.
