New RX8, few specific questions.
Hi all,
I just bought my RX8, I found a used one that was in excellent condition as far as I can tell. It has a rebuilt engine with a little over 8k on it, new transmission, new struts, a new air intake. The car has been babied its whole life, and has a little over 113k miles on it. Its a 2004 Grand Touring Manual. That being said, I noticed that the car has three main problems with it, which may or may not be related to one another. The first is the passenger side flood light has shattered glass, the second is the headlight auto-leveling sensor is showing a warning light on the dash, and the third and most worrying is that the headlights seem to throw the beams way high when they are on normal, so that I blind anyone that is coming head on to my car. My first question is are any of these related, and if so how can I fix them, most specifically the height of the headlight beams and the warning light. I would not say I know a whole lot about cars, this is my first, but I am willing to learn and do work on the car within reason. I don't for example have the ability to raise the car on a lift, but I can probably find a jack laying around. Lastly, is there any way to get and replace the glass on the flood light short of buying a new floodlight as a whole.
Anything that you can tell me would help out a lot
Thanks!

I don't know for sure, but it probably is related
You say floodlight, I assume you mean headlight.
If the bulb is still good, you are talking about the lens, yes?
You may be able to find one in a salvage yard or on the internet.
There is sensor and a type of linkage connected to the light for the leveler, when the light was broken, it was probably damaged.

Welcome.
What he said. There are 2 sensors on the 04. One is in the front, on the left side (driver) just in front of the wheel. You can see it laying on the ground behind the front part of the wheel. The rod bolts to the aluminium lower member. The second is in pictured above. It is on the rear, visible from behind and attaches to a suspension arm.
Checking existence, and wires attached, is a good first start.
I have a headlight I can sell.

Good catch.
I posted the first picture I found without really looking at it.
This might be better:

Thanks guys, I shall look into that. I also cannot seem to get my fog lights to work, but that may be bulb related. The headlights that were broken that I refereed to were in fact fog lights, I miss-typed. Thanks for your responses, and I shall let you know what I find out.

So I found a sensor online, and I managed to replace it. No change however in either the level of the headlights or the warning light on the dash. Is there anything else I can try?
