This project has been a real joy, countless hours and many tears and sweat getting this beauty right!
-The V6 has come from a MX6, 2.5L.
-Dyno at Jam Sport with huge torque and power.
-It has 6 throttle bodies with carbon trumpets.
-Stainless exhaust from the heads to bumper.
-BMW M3 drive-by-wire for the throttle.
-Powder coated cam covers and sump.
-Carbon affect on the front cam belt covers, and other plastics under the bonnet
-All pipework and exposed aluminium has been nickel plated.
-PZ powder coated wheels and springs
-PZ dampers, dyno checked at Bilstien.
-Calipers were sand blasted and completely rebuilt, painted, new discs and pads.
-Single are wiper blade.
It does pain me to want to sell it but I could use the money I've poured into it.
For some reason all but one of the photos are rotated and I can't change them.

Well done swap, KFC! I love engine swaps, especially when they are done for performance reasons (and not just to "make a point").
Though, I am still a bit confused about your choice of engine, a rule of thumb of engine swaps is that a new motor should be able to make 1.5-3 times mope power than the original (otherwise it easier to modify the original engine).
But you should be able to get there by adding forced induction. Personally, would go with turbos instead of superchaerger, but that is just me. Unless you need another "baby step" in improving your RX8

Hi read your thread with interest I have been collecting bits to replace the engine in one of my RX8 did you get yours finished ?.
I have gone for the Jag 3.0 engine 240bhp standard, did you know that this engine can produce 450bhp n/a seem that is used in a race car. Jag took this Mazda engine to Cosworth and asked then to make it produce more power. my ECU chap says 300bhp all-day long with all the emissions crap removed Ive had an S type as a road car for 2 years and its fairly quick for a car weighing 1650kgs. So I would like to know more about your conversation and how its getting on ?.

Hey,
I finished the car back in July and been driving it around as my daily. It sounds great and handles like a kart, it could do with an extra 200bhp but I'm not bothered to do any changes. It's worn me out and I don't want to do anymore and my circumstances have completely changed so I will be selling it.

RX8 V6 for sale
I'm going to be selling my RX8 as I will be moving and can't take the car with me so any suggestions where would be a good place to sell the car?
I have tried piston heads and eBay but no joy, mind you, it was too close to Christmas.

In terms of moving auxiliaries and cutting, I don't think it's a lot compared to what other people have done.
I'm still surprised that my original calculations for engine choice were right, just look how close the crankshaft pulley and sump lip is to the steering rack and subframe!! Ok, I do have to mod the sump but I thought I might have to cut the front of the block but I don't. Moving the brake lines and abs unit will be fun, actually like routing and manurfacturing pipes so it will look good. I can keep the clutch slave where it is, just bleed it before the engine goes in, the bleed screw sits about 7mm behind the LH cylinder head so access is tight.
By the end of the month I hope to have the mock V6 in with engine mounts in progress. I'm able to use 2 RH RX8 engine mounts with an adapter plate to the block, again, this has been mocked up :-)

Hello just bought the same motor beats 3000 for a rebuild. What transmission did you use my only worry about the swap is the driveshaft. any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
