What did you do with your RX8 today?

There is an obscure possibility, I'm only aware of it happening to myself and one other car.
It's possible that there's a broken bolt on your AC Refrigerant pump, the bolts line up perfectly with the lower knuckle on the steering column so that a broken one can slide out and lock the knuckle. It's a super stealth failure because when it's not bound to the knuckle it can slide back into the hole (they're too long to actually fall out).
Just to be safe give those 4 bolts a tug and see.

I soldered the three spots on my cool/heat **** and reinstalled. success.
My stereo works but none of the speakers have any power. checked 20amp fuse and it is blown. so I need to pick one up.
I just installed fuel injectors a few days ago and all check engine lights are gone on this car I purchased. this car turned out well after a lot of work.
next is to get an alignment.

Got my 8 moved over to my new Apartment, so now I can focus more on actually getting this god damn thing done finally lol
*Also decided to remove everything A/C related as it's really just useless and i'm perfectly fine without it during summer as my daily RX-7 is the exact same way

Hello all: I discovered with my rx8 today that the starter issues with the much maligned automatic that the original starter came with a N3H2-18-400-rob and the upgraded starter is a N3H2-A-18-400-rob . I hope this helps some one. I am sure there are a few automatics here..

Been a little over a week here since I drove the 8, Battery is still holding up, surprised the Redtop still cranks! Drove to Quaddick State Park, about 80 miles round trip, and really love driving her, still can't get over how smooth a pull to 9k in 4th gear can be! Can't wait for the weather to allow me to install the OEM wheels! I could do it now, but its really cold out and I still need to plastidip them so when it warms up to 50F+ ill have them swapped over!

Clutch Pedal Fixed
Installed a new Clutch Pedal... finally broke at 125K... $95 for a new one... Almost lost an eye when the cable clip went flying! Hit me right on the cheek and stung like M#$F^k^er!
I wish I knew how to weld though because I would have reinforced those weak welding points! Ah well, here's hoping for another 125K =)
Lesson learned: Wear safety goggles anytime you're holding or using a tool lol

Had good weather and didn't have to work today so I took the time to seal my tailights on my R3. Used silicone adhesive and weather stripping. They actually had the updated foam seal but the would still get moisture in them.

I had the misfortune of having the plug to an o2 sensor bung go missing. So I removed my Turbo XS muffler and midpipe. The donut gasket and the bolts going to the cat needed adjusting, just going to take it off and try again.

I finally started working on cleaning up the exterior of my car. I gave it a good wash and then polished the exhaust tips. I don't think they were ever cleaned before, they were solid black and took a ton of scrubbing. Tomorrow I'm going to clay and wax.

What I did with my RX-8
I took my RX-8 to the dealership because I got a recall notice in the mail about the airbag inflator. They did a 27 point inspection and I had them change to oil too. This was only the second oil change for the car since I got it in October and the first with the dealership; I was surprised that they used a synthetic blend motor oil. The service attendant said that the dealership doesn't use conventional oil at all.
I guess I'll start using Castrol High Mileage Synthetic bland oil from now on.
Dealership said the RX-8 was in great condition.

Seeing as I remoed all of my A/C related stuff I needed something to protect my Koyorad as there's no longer a condenser in front of it, so I ordered and install some ever so prettyful racingbeat rad and oil cooler covers and installation was easier than a $2 crack *****
Also made some more progress in removing the S1 interior wiring and this weekend I plan on laying down the S2 wiring and keeping fingers crossed for a possible first start
Also replaced my old gauges with some brand new prosport evo gauges (red/blue) and now I can throw my old gauges into my RX-7 which badly needs them. And btw if anyone is looking to get some I used discount code "special" for 5% off. I should be able to install the sensors this weekend as well. Gauges I got are Water temp., Oil temp., and Oil pressure.
