$5500 North Longmont, Colorado
94600 miles, six speed manual, starts and runs perfectly.
New ignition coils and plugs
New coolant
New transmission and differential fluid (Redline)
New rear brake pads
Falken FK452 tires with 8000 miles on them
Borla cat-back exhaust
OEM catalytic converter and Walker aftermarket converter
Slight ding on rear passenger quarter panel (my wife backed into me after I parked in her blind spot)
Sunroof, spoiler, heated seats, and Bose sound system, this car looks and feels great!
Compression was good 10k miles ago, I'm trying to dig up those results now.
I'm selling this because I don't want to own it if I'm not going to track it, and I have too many children for tracking any cars. I drove it once at High Plains Raceway and it was amazing, and you should too.

Thanks ruskivovka91!
Here's my compression test numbers from 10k miles ago. The guys at Sill-terHar Motors didn't quite know how to do it so I had to call the back about the rpm, probably a made-up number. Maybe I identified 300rpm as the worse-case measurement and normalized to that.

Questions for thomcom:
-what happened to the clutch pedal?
-are you the original owner?
-is it the original engine?
-ever flooded or had any previous low compression issues, or issues with starting?
I've never sat in one w/ a sunroof, but I'll see if I can find a dealer near me so I can sit in one. I test drove a 2006 V6 accord coupe w/ sunroof and I was too tall.
I did read this thread tho https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...rivers-153398/

I'm 6'0" and drove it on the track with a helmet. It was tight - I nestled my head into the A column and was able to enjoy right turns substantially. The sunroof only makes the ceiling 1.5" or so lower where you sit, and the power seat does have some up/down control. I do wish that the steering column was length-adjustable.
All great questions. To be honest, I don't know what is up with the clutch pedal. It might be an aftermarket clutch reinforcement learned from these very forums: The pedal has a ~1x1x2" box on top of it, with a metal plate bolted on top of that. The plate swings freely and allows easier foot movement on top of the clutch. I can take a detailed pic of it if you like.
The previous owner was into some pretty serious mods, there are screw holes in funny places. Less than six months ago I removed a programmable window control module from the door which had been messing with the power windows (the wiring was insane! now they work perfectly).
I am the third owner. The second owner was repo'd somewhere in Arizona, I think, and I got the auction proceeds.
I do not know if it is the original engine - the only thing I've seen on the forums is to look for a blue tag somewhere, but if it isn't a Mazda factory reman it won't have that tag. If you can tell me where to look for the blue tag, I will go look closely for you.
I flooded it once early on when I moved it from the driveway to the street. It was kind of a test of "ok, how easy really is it to flood these things cold?". It has had two instances over my entire ownership of "hot-startish behavior" where the engine cranked for a few seconds longer than normal before starting. These events are not repeatable - it hot starts and cold starts easily every time.
