Dammit, you made me really wanna AutoX now, LOL.
Anyway, I just vacuumed the car. Should have known better to drive drunk friends who passed out on the lawn home. Thank god there are no pukes.
Note to myself: party and drink next year so I can't drive.
Will probably clean the windows tomorrow.

Scraped a nice gash in the passenger side aero flare pulling into a leafy driveway at night. Thankfully its only plastic. The owner of said driveway apparently thought it wise to place rocks to mark the edges of the driveway. Rocks become icebergs when you don't rake your leaves all autumn :/

Took her to the dealership for the fuel pump recall.
Regretted it an hour later.
Will be without her for up to two weeks.....
Back story:
My fuel pump was new. Asked them not to swap the pump if not necessary. They failed the inspection because it was aftermarket, ripped it out (told me they can't put it back in), realized they don't have the casing for the new pump they were going to install, ordered the part but could take up to two weeks. Weep....

Last time I checked(when I saw that Spirit R RX-7, so like a week ago), it was STILL there. Wow.

Water Foul
Drove it to work today to drive out the Oklahoma 87 that's in the tank. Took one of my co-workers to lunch. She said, "What is that whirring sound?" Gave me a huge grin. Tried to explain spinning triangles vs. pistons. Got glazed over look. Maybe someday.

I don't have any leaks and really never drive in any extreme temp hot or cold.
The way to play this situation is to not do recall, but if you get leak later, there's a recall, and do it then, getting new pump.
It's not like the loose injectors problems of reinstalled engines that cause fires.
Most people can tell fuel is leaking under seat pretty quick.

Finally got around to tearing down the original engine. I replaced it last year due to bad compression and because it was blowing oil out the vent line. Rear rotor side seal was the cause of all my problems...

That will do it What's the history of that engine? Was it raced? Daily driven? Mileage?
Today's adventures included installing MeisterR coilovers on my 8 and on a friend's NC Miata. 9K/6K springs. After 3 hours of driving city and highway at full soft, I'm pretty happy. At full soft they're comfortable, even a bit floaty. Damping experimentation to come. Worlds above the Koni/Eibach mistake I had on previously. Track testing will, unfortunately, have to wait until next year.
