Yeah I saw that one, but it's a little out of my budget and I'm not a big fan of the removable steering wheel. Thanks for the recommendation though!

I have a 2007 in silver with 52k. Only mods are Racing Beat cat back and coilovers. I still have the stock parts. Text 585-465-9940 if you want pics/more details.

you’re not allowed to start new threads for a reason and attempting to hijack a dead thread to get around it demonstrates why newbs shouldn’t even be allowed to post outside the newb forum-crib area at all.

Or quite the opposite.

The restrictions had a reason to be here in the old days since traffic was busy. Now? The forum is pretty dead. These restrictions are getting pointless.

But yeah, either ban posting/starting a thread outside of the newbie forum or lift the thread-starting restrictions altogether.

as you know, I get dinged for not following the rules the same as anyone else. It is what it is.

it may not be busy, but imo noobs running around without diapers pooping all over the place is still an issue. I’m not saying this guy is in that category, but all he has to do is make a few posts in the proper area to get out of the noob baby pen. zero history too, nobody knows what the deal is.

Aant0ni0: do not post your FS ad in someone else's thread.

Sorry but that’s not accurate; you can start your own FS ad with all of your information, photos, etc. and then post a link to it in other WTB threads. Instead you keep posting your same info over and over again in other people’s threads. Since you’re new then it seems the subtlety of the difference warrants giving you the benefit of doubt in not understanding the difference, but now you know.

Also, in the event you’re not permitted to start a new thread yet, there are rules and reasons for that. It’d be a violation of the rules to try and circumvent the process by posting what is essentially a FS thread as a post in a WTB instead for the same reasons.

You may be a legitimate seller, but the sad truth is that grifters and scammers surf forums like this targeting WTB ads looking for sap victims to steal from. So some minimum safeguards are in place regardless of how annoying or silly they may seem.

However the one trump over all that is the WTB ad was posted in Feb/2019. Even if somebody was still looking for an RX8 over 17 months later when the market is essentially flooded with them, common sense would dictate sending the OP a private message or email inquiring on whether they’re still in the market or not. Which then your post in such an old thread makes it seem as an intentional attempt to post a “FS ad” in the guise of a thread post. Not saying you’re doing that because again giving you the benefit of doubt that you don’t fully appreciate these subtleties, but it should all be clear now.

Damn. There are so many rules to this place. All I want to do is post my RX8 for sale in an RX8 Forum. Not this complicated on any other forums I've been on (BMW and CBR). In the thred "{FREE} FS/WTB RULES :READ before any transaction done!" nothing is stated about having to post a certain amount of times before creating your own thread. Nothing is stated about how to post your own FS in a WTB add. You may want to add that because I read the rules and I didn't see that I was violating any.
