GI/ 04 Black w/many mods and high mileage (17.7k?)-SoCAL
SOLD 4/17/2008
{edit} My wife and I had have two RX8's. We have traded in the 2005 WWP but are still looking to sell our 2004 BB.
I am hoping to walk away from the vehicle without any cash out of my pocket. I currently owe 15.3 on the car, so this is my selling point. The car is heavily modified, has been used monthly at autocross events, and is a pleasure to drive daily back and forth to work. The car currently has 81,600 miles and will increase quickly as I drive 75 miles each day. I want to sell the car as it sits, as I have removed parts for buyers who had expressed interest, and then backed out....so I'm left with a car with less parts....so, not willing to part out anymore....car will be sold as is.
Package: GT2 package

ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate (new clutch put in at around 45k miles)
ACT Prolite Flywheel
Unorthodox Racing Pulleys (blue) <----this has been removed and replaced with stock pulleys, with brand new belts

Red Dash kit (NYC dashes full kit)
OEM fender strakes
Spare Tire with all mounting hardware (currently collecting dust in the garage and not in the car)
Custom Red Tinted Rear Taillights
Mazdaspeed Badge on trunk
Mazda Footwell Lighting (with additional red neon tubes in footwell area for night time fun since the Mazda lights go off after doors are closed)
The Honest
[edit]Car has 81,600 miles
Car had transmission replaced at Romero Mazda at around 69k miles.
Car has had all little dents removed by paintless dent removal (I work at a school, which is the land of little kids and the door dings that they tend to make)
Rear bumper (not the MS portion, but near the plates) has a 2 inch crack....car was bumped while it was parked and I attempted to fix that buy installing the MS rear bumper (hoping that it would fit over the crack, but it didn't cover the crack unfortunately).
Front bumper has been hit twice by tire debris on the freeway (it has one noticeable crack on the lower drivers side portion...two other cracks are near the top/sides of the center opening and are not noticeable.
Car was stuck on the 15 freeway during a high wind storm and front windshield has heavy sand pitting.
Car Drives strong, never has caused me any trouble.
Center Console (button has popped off...I will try and get a replacement prior to sale. I'm trying to figure out how to remove that portion so that I can find a replacement)
Car has never been flooded or had difficulty starting....other than a dead battery which was replaced.
All recalls have been done.
All oil changes have been done at the dealer.
Car currently has OEM trans/diff fluids and Motul 6000 brake fluid, changed at time of new transmission install (69k miles)

Pics of Damaged items
Here's some pics taken this morning (11/7/07) of the following:
Front bumper. 2 pics showing the two areas of damage on the drivers side, and one area of damage on the passenger side of the front bumper.
Inside. Pic showing the damage to the center console button.
Rear Bumper. Pic showing the damage to the left of the plate.
Windshield. It is hard to take a pic of sand pitting on a windshield....
...I hope this addresses all the concerns I listed above. I want to be as honest as possible, so that you can make the best, informed decision. Thanks again for being patient with the pics.

Got a better pic of the front windsheild
This is a current pic taken on our monthly cruise in San Bernardino (11/10/07). I think it shows a more accurate status of the front windshield.

hey dude. does your wife substitute at kwis elem? my friend saw your 8 and went to go talk to her. he's looking to buy but he already has an FD. Either he buys the 8 or gets the fortune kit for his FD.
you might remember him. probably 6' tall, asian, hair is spiked back. he went with another friend
also he's pretty stupid bout 8's so he might have asked some really stupid questions. forgive him for that.

I own the black one....and yes, I do work at Kwis. He came in last week. his FD is beautiful. I told him that he is lucky to have such a beautiful FD....I would love to straight trade, but I need something family oriented...and going from a 4 seat rotary, to a 2 seat rotary would not be practical.
I would love to sell it to him, keep it with someone who can truely appreciate a rotary.
His questions were fine, he had two friends with him as well that helped.
I don't know if he is on the 7 or 8 forums, but you can always forward this link to him. Thanks.

77,300 and counting.....payoff now down, as I just made a car payment. I'm looking to get the payoff for this vehicle. I'm not looking to have any money in my pocket. If your interested in the vehicle, let me know and I can call to get a 30-day payoff for the vehicle.

They may be for sale. If the buyer of my vehicle is not interested in the wheels, and wants to lower the selling price on the car, I could make that available.
I started a "Gauging Interest" thread in the California region thread....thinking that $2000 plus an OEM swap was reasonable, but no one was interested. I've asked people to make offers and I would arrange an interest list accoridng to the offers.
The wheels would only be sold, if that is what the buyer of my vehicle wants. I hope this make sense?

December bump. I may have a buyer for the car...and it does look like the wheels will need to go and be replaced with stock wheels. I'll be placing a seperate listing for the wheels and am looking for a local trade with wheels in good condition with good rubber.
