I have a front damaged 2004 RX-8 6-speed for sale. I am offering for sale as-is with a salvage title. The damage is dead center from the core support forward. Driver and Passenger Airbags have deployed. Black non-sunroof (race car?) with black cloth. Chrome 18's with a little rash on 3. Mileage is 40K. Was listed as "Runs and Drives" when I bought, but I have not started it as the radiator is killed. PM me for additional pics. $7400 firm.

i don't see this one being rebuilt but it could make for a decent parts car.

 

I'm sorry mate, but I don't see this car going for what, more than half as much as a non-wrecked RX-8...

I agree, these days a 2004 with 40K wouldn't bring $4K. But that is irrelevent as I did rebuild this one in 2008 and it has been my daily driver since then. It is an excellent low mileage car with zero issues. I ended up with a litlle over $9K in it using mostly new OEM parts, some help from Tom at the Partsgroup and excellent work by Ga Paint and Body. So it did what I wanted. Clean retail in 2008 was $14-$17K. I wanted a sports car that could tote kids as needed and I got one for $5K under the market price. I didn't plan on selling it so the dirty paper isn't an issue.

lol ... old post, and most of you are clueless about what you are saying ....back in 08 $7,400 was OK price for this easy damage rx8.
Car was hit above bumper support and only needs upper "tie bar" (not sure what to call it) - sheet metal to be replaced - welded, aside form few body parts.

My had more damage then that - and it still was not bad damage and no problem to repair...just time consuming...

haha! I posted in the wrong thread then! I ran a google search on salvaged rx8's because I really want an rx8 but can't aford full price and don't mind getting dirty..
