FS gh8st's rx8... sad day
SOLD thanks for playing
Selling my beloved 2005 Titanium Gray Mazda RX8 6 speed manual transmission with 43xxx miles. I love her to death, but I feel it's time for me to move on.
The Bad:
* The fuel pump gave out, so I swapped in a Walbro 255, and she's good as new
* Front bumper is dented slightly due to a 5 mph fender bender in the snow
* Minor scratches and dents from daily driving
* One wheel has a dent in it from hitting a pothole, but holds air no problem
* Air pump is on it's way out, and I had it unplugged because I ran catless
The Goods:
* Super healthy engine
* Brand new fuel pump, which can support way more fuel flow (a must if you want to boost)
* Realignment and rebalanced wheels
* Only minor dents, not even visible
* No major mechanical issues
* Clean car fax
* Changed Coils, Wires and plugs just a few months ago
* Changed oil religiously every 3000 miles at valvoline with part synthetic 5w20
* ALWAYS used premium gas
* I babied this car, never dropped clutch/launched etc, and never tracked
Mods:
* AEM True Cold Air Intake
* Tanabe GF210 Lowering Springs
* Buschur Mini Battery + Custom Bracket (to clear up space for a turbo kit, and it cranks better than stock)
* Exedy Stage 1 Clutch Kit
* Seibon TSI Matte Finish Hood (very rare)
* EvoR Carbon Fiber Matte Finish Front Lip
* O.Z. Ultraleggeras 18x8 +45
* Matte Black Roof Overlay
* Agency Power Catback Exhaust
* Nexen 3000 tires with 60% life left
Selling the car AS IS.. Come by and take a look!
You can message me here or reach me at: silent.insanity@gmail.com. THANKS!

Would you be willing to part with the corners? i can either trade you my frosted white ones from Rotary FX or we can do cash and i could send you my OEM stock ones as part of it. After i got the white i realized that with all the black outs i want to do id much rather have the tinted ones.
But on a side note im sorry ot see this happen... but i mean with no futureyour life goes nowhere so i mean i guess you do what you have to do. And then later on you can come back and join us again. Maybe with an R3 ;-]

I just texted you.... I don't think you should do it. If you do a really careful look at the math with good estimations, getting another car will save you SOME money, but not very much. Especially with the shitty low resale value... Insurance is mostly about where you're located and your personal stats and driving record, not what car you drive. I pay $1200 for the year and live the same place you do. Not cheap, but not crazy either, and a corolla would still cost me $800...
Heh...if you just stop modding the damn car you still have a REALLY sick car.....I forget that until I drive other cars, it's easy to foget how nice the whole experience is.... Mod for reliability rather than performance. It's not a money pit if you don't throw money into it!
Yeah it eats gas and that adds up. Figure very roughly $1000 a year more in gas than with some econobox. But figure the immediate losses on the car.....I'm pretty sure if you do a long-term cost analysis it will take many years for you to break even by getting a cheaper car.
True when I hear "engine blown" I think major expenses....but I thought you got a second engine? Havn't you already paid the heavy expenses in non-refundable fashion?
If I can get through med school with my 8 and not be spending *too* much money on it, you can definitely do school and work and still enjoy your car too. I think you should reconsider selling, I'm more than willing to sit down and help you plan **** out more if that would help at all, rather than see an enthusiastic rx8 guy jump ship....
I'm not being grumpy cause I think you're making a bad decision, it's just a shame, you've put so much work into the car and the community, I hate to see it go.
Good luck and lets catch up some time either way.....
