04 RX8 $7000 9K miles Ready for LS1
I have a RX8 that I pulled the engine out of for another project. I had a 13b-RE in it and it was a beast, I am using it(engine) for a drag car now and am debating selling off my RX8. If anyone wants to throw a stock engine back in it (all electronics are still hooked up in car) or throw a 3 rotor or LS1 in it...this is your car. Very very clean car, no accidents, nothing worn out. Shifts flawlessly. 6spd w/new upgraded clutch, short throw shifter, push button start, new borla stainless exhaust everything else stock.
$7000, or interesting trades welcomed.
Located in Augusta,Ga.

Here are the pics, I left the pollen on the windshield so nosey people arent looking in the windows when my shop doors are open. We have been getting hammered with pollen this week....

Nope, no typo, under 9300miles on the chassis, original tires, etc. And it shows, the car is really clean. I can get pics, I will post them tomorrow. Windows are freshly tinted, very sharp car. I babied the car, and I wanted to put the engine in something I could bang on without worrying about it. Never had an issue with the car or anything, I just didnt want to tear the car up. (450+hp)
Not interested in parting out the shifter, I wanna keep it together to make it easy to go back together. Transmission is still in the car. The clutch is an exedy, perfect shape.
Anyone wanting it without the borla exhaust for an LS1 swap, I will knock off $500.
Book value on the car is like $14k

Its Titanium grey, I think its the sport. No wing, no body kit, 18" wheels, no nav (really slick 3 pod molded in its place). Cloth interior in mint condition. Battery relocated in the trunk , which is perfect for engine swap.
I have been all over and under the car, I can verify no accidents. I have a carfax on it also from when I got it, its also clean, shows correct mileage, etc, perfect grade. I have title of course.
Someone could easily buy an engine, install it, and resell the car and sell it for trade in...and still make money. Why dont I do this? I have too many cars, too many irons in the fire, so selling some off. Trying to finish up two classic show cars by Sept.

How many previous owners? Presumably you're not the original owner, so why did someone sell it to you so early in its life? Do you have the stock parts? Battery relocation and molded "3 pod" are making this car sound less and less stock. Is the 3 pod permanent or removable without damaging the dash? Are there any other items like that? Feel free to pm

I am not the first owner. Car got repo'd., I guess they couldnt afford it.
The 3pod in the dash was done because I had a center dash section that was drilled for a tach. I though it looked goofy, so I molded the 3 pod into it, looks nice. Its totally replaceable with stock center section, I will buy I new stock one if thats what you prefer. The battery had to be relocated with the 13b-RE. Its super nicely done, and much better than stock. Other than that, its a showroom stock car.

Everything you need will come with a used engine, you will need radiator hoses I am sure. Engine bay has not been modified in any way. Same basic engine installed. Pretty straight forward to put it back stock. But, you may as well go with an older engine that you can throw more boost at, its really no harder. Renesis can be found for $1500 (found em for $1000 all day long), add $500 for a cushion, and $500 for your time to set engine in the car. You are still $3k+ below loan on it.
There are alot of dreamers out there that wanna build a car in their garage with pliers and a couple allen wrenches, this probably isnt something you can handle. But anyone with mechanical knowlege can easily handle it. The car hasnt been dismantled or torn apart. If its missing something, its gunna be minor, because I always planned on it going right back with a Renesis to drive it....but I have been too busy, so that means its gotta go.
Anyone thats interested can PM me and I will give you my # and we can go over the car. I want this to be something someone enjoys and has a good time with, not something thats gunna make em dissapointed.

Yes, sold it to max. It went back to cali, and he sent it to his father in Massachusetts. I got it from riverside cali though. It had a cosmo motor, I just rebuilt it actually.

LOL, that was my car, I am the original owner. Me and the guy Demon had a deal worked out until something fell through and caused the repo. Funny to see it was right down the street from me for awhile.
