I have for sale an Excellent condition Copper Red (Maroon) 2006 Mazda RX-8 Shinka Special Edition 4 door coupe with only 6015 miles. The car is very seldom driven only in good weather and always stored in a garage with car cover (included)-never driven in the snow or rain. Vehicle is dealer serviced with oil changes minimum of twice a year regardless of miles driven. I have never had any problems with the vehicle with the exception of the drivers side sun visor breaking which was replaced under warranty (vehicle still under warranty until end of this month I believe). Vehicle is again in excellent condition both inside and out, very clean, like new, and well taken care of. Rear seats have only been sat in twice. Two floor mats always used for the front seats so the included factory mats are like new. No smoking or eating has occurred inside of the car. Vehicle is started, run, and driven minimum of once a month (with exception of winter-only run) to ensure proper cycling of engine/fluids and battery disconnected via disconnect switch (included) if vehicle sits over a month if not driven. Beige leather/Alcantra interior is like new with leather conditioner applied at least twice a year. There is no lien on the vehicle and I have title in hand. It also include Mazda’s advanced keyless entry and start system which is incredible. It allows for the driver to unlock/lock /start/open trunk of vehicle with the key remaining in your pocket the entire time without ever taking the key out of your pocket. Vehicle has never been in an accident and has a clean/clear title. Runs, drives excellent. All mechanical and electronics operate flawlessly. Paint in excellent condition with the exception of 1 scratch on rear fender/bumper. This car is officially a two owner vehicle originally titled and purchased in CA by my cousin. She missed driving her SUV and in turm sold the vehicle to me at approx 800 miles. During the time she owned the vehicle, it was taken car of just as well/or better than I have taken care of it. In regards to warranty, I believe the warranty ends by the end of this month (11/2010). With that said, this vehicle was originally purchased new from the dealer very late in 2010.

A little more information about this rare vehicle:

Shinka
In 2005, Mazda introduced the first special edition RX-8 called "Sports Prestige Limited" in Japan and "Shinka" in North America. Billed as a more luxurious grand touring model, this Shinka came with Black Cherry exterior color and Parchment leather interior along with subtly chromed 18" wheels. Only 1357 were made in the 2005 model year (though 2150 were scheduled, production never reached that amount). The most significant mechanical change were slightly revised Bilstein shocks and suspension cross member injected with urethane foam to improve ride quality. Shinka returned for 2006 as a production trim package, now available in Copper Red, Galaxy Grey, and Whitewater Pearl. Only 1500 were made in 2006.

The RX-8 "SHINKA"Special Edition takes its name from the Japanese word meaning "evolution"or "transformation"and mixes RX-8's sports car flavor with a touch of luxury. Available with either a six-speed manual or the new six-speed Sport A/T, the RX-8 SHINKA Special Edition features an upgraded and uniquely tuned suspension with uprated shock absorbers and urethane-filled cross-member supports for increased performance and ride comfort. In addition to SHINKA's unique leather/Alcantara ® seating surfaces, Mazda added leather to the handbrake lever, upgraded trim on the doors and center console, and revised the finish on the 18-inch alloy wheel. The SHINKA Special Edition also features a SIRIUS satellite radio system as standard, with a one-year subscription at no cost.

Mazda has also extended the engine warranty on RX-8s built between 2004 and 2008 to 8 years or 100,000 miles. The warranty extension covers the engine core which consists of the rotor housing and internal parts as well as the seals and gaskets.

As you can see I have all documentation, manuals, pamphlets, and etc. that came with the vehicle when new. Vehicle also comes with both keys/remotes.

Only modifications on vehicle are tinted windows (35% front, 20% rear)

The reason that I’m selling is because I own too many vehicles and this one hardly gets driven not to mention that I drive less than 7K miles a year total.

Original sticker price was $34,459. Asking price: $17,700 which is the kbb blue book value for this vehicle.
