Hey guys,
The time has come. Can't make payments on a car I can't drive, and I don't really have the money or time to replace the engine in her. I've spent oodles of time on this car.
Car has fresh paint (less than 6 months old), new brakes, new tires, half tank of gas, awesome turbo kit, AUTHENTIC Vertex Lang front end, Shine Auto side and rear skirts, shaved rear trunk, brand new battery, etc. Also when the car was painted ALL of the minor dings dents etc were repaired as well
Car has 92000 miles, though it has fresh paint and pretty much everything else.
Interior is in near perfect condition, normal wear and tear on the steering wheel
Car is a fully loaded GT that means:
NAV
Sunroof
Heated seats
Larger front brakes
BOSE stereo system
6 speed
The Good:
----------------------------------------------------
Mod List:
Tien S. Tech springs
Drilled/slotted front/rear rotors
New brake pads
Beatrush Differential brace
Beatrush metal shifter collar
GReddy SP2 catback exhaust
Agency Power midpipe
Evo-R carbon fiber window switches
Wrapped carbon center console trim, door sill plates
shift boot
Voodoo shift ****
console covers front and back (black leather, single red stitch)
BHR Ignition system
GReddy turbo kit (20G turbo, TiAL BOV, fix #2, larger intercooler, polished piping, Turbosmart boost controller, turbo is a new CHRA, less than 8k miles on it, new beefier silicon couplers, black)
BHR black intake undertray
GReddy alternator/water pump pulleys
Agency Power crank pulley
Prosport oil filter adapter (for turbo oil feed)
STRI boost gauge, 60mm with custom pod (peak recall and warning)
auxiliary input mod for the radio
Muteki neo-chro lug nuts
ADR M-Sport rims 18x7.5 (winter set new, all season tires new)
Some blue underglow where your feet go
6k HID's
6K LED parking lights
LED license plate bulb
Clear corners (modded as corner turn signal, LED amber bulbs. Only flashes when using turn signal in sync with front turn signal)
RaceRoots purple powder-coated air diversion panel
RaceRoots clutch pedal reinforcement bracket
CorkSport Stainless steel clutch line
With the car you'll get about 6 quarts of Idemitsu premix
Half tank of gas included
The Bad:
Needs an engine
Clutch could probably be replaced
Drivers side rear strut needs to be replaced
HVAC controls need to be fixed (Check DIY section, I just never got around to it)
Dealer would need to fix the immobilizer issue (car not recognizing the key after uninstalling the Cobb AP, spare ECU comes with the car though it's not needed, just need to get the key programmed with the car)
------------------------------------------------------
I would fix the car myself, but the only way I think I can bail myself out is by selling her. I was considering rendering RotaryRessurection's services to replace the engine, but would rather give the car to someone who really wants to dive into RX8's, or has experience replacing engines and what not. That was never really my thing. Or better yet a rotaryhead with experience with them. Im wanting to get something like an MR2 turbo probably for another car.
I only have a few pictures at the moment, i'll post up more this weekend. You're more than welcome to come by the house and take a look at her if you are close. PM and i'll send you my phone number.
The engine that is in the car now only has about 13k miles on it, dealer reman'. I can't say what the damage is, but most of it is probably salvageable.
My loss is your gain..this is a killer price imo.
Many many more pics coming this weekend

The car looks nice. My first question has to be...
Is there a blown engine in the car, or no engine at all?
You said you can't make the payments on a car you don't drive anymore. Would the person who buys this car make the payment directly to the bank or to you?

Nah, you'd pay the 6k and we'd pay off the loan right there. Title would be yours. The bank that holds the lease is a local bank to my area
It's not that I can't make the payments, its just stupid for me to pay for a car I can't drive.
The engine is still in the car, so if you wanted to combine two engines or whatever you could do, or keep the one in the car now as a spare and rebuild it on the side.

if....
1) you're highly dishonest
2) the dealer never found out about the turbo install/engine mods at any time in the past
3) you remove the turbo kit and put the engine back to bone stock before taking it for evaluation
4) you can produce adequate maintenance history for a stock motor.
...then maybe. Who would go through all that bullshit to save 2-3 grand?

The Car does have two tone red/leather seats.
Team, I havn't decided still what I totally have the heart to do; unless somebody buys the car, but maybe I could lube you up with some benjamins in the future :D

hate to threadjack, but if anyones interested I have a complete engine for sale thats 85k mileage that you could swap into it for 900. Its actually really not that hard to swap the engine. all you do is take all the tubes off, undo the engine mounts, driveshaft, and remove all the piddly stuff in the front then use an engine lift to lift the car up real high and drop the engine/trans out the bottom. I did it in a day.
