The car has been well maintained. In addition to changing the oil every 3000 miles or less (I use Valvoline), I have been running premix (Amsoil Saber Pro) in the fuel to insure that the engine stays in top shape.
The following has been done to the car since I have owned it:
New battery (Duralast Gold) at 60,000 miles
Redline Synthetic Transmission fluid and Diff gear oil at 60,000 miles
New Ignition Coils and NGK Spark Plugs at 65,000 miles
Custom Catback Exhaust (no fancy exhaust tips, just for performance/weight)
Riken Raptor Tires (these have approximately 60% tread left and are a performance summer tire)
OEM Quality front brake pads at 70,000 miles
This is the best and smoothest running RX-8 I have had the pleasure to drive/ride in. It really does perform very well and there are no signs of issues with the engine. There is a CEL, but the cat was gutted a while back (the CEL was on for the O2 sensor before gutting) so it is most likely that the rear O2 sensor is bad.
Being a daily driver, it does have a few bumps and bruises (nothing even very noticeable) but not more than is expected and the interior is in close to perfect condition given the age. It has taken a couple of cone strikes as this car was autocrossed a couple of times last season. I'd give the interior an 8/10 only because the glove box handle is sort of loose somehow but still works; the leather is in great shape!
If you are interested and want more pictures you can call or text Mitchell at (316) 641-8704. Only serious buyers will be allowed to test ride/drive.
