Thanks, Khurram. I have also been passionate about older mitsubishis for some reason. I found a nice clean, somewhat rust free shell I wan to pick up and sort of restore. Sadly, mitsu outweighed the RX8 this time around...

GLWS blacksheep. I regret to say that I not ready to buy yet. I just picked up a new car for the wife, so my R3 will have to wait another year.

What Mitsu are you thinking of picking up? Evo, DSM, 3000GT?

None of the above.... Actually, I picked up a 1992 Galant VR-4. I know its old and such, but I wanted a cheaper project car to build more...

They only imported a 1000 into the US for homogalization for use of the car in WRC by Mitsu. It was the 1st Evo, so to speak. Mitsu then decided to go to the Lancer in 1993 or so and the Evo was born. It shares a lot of genes with the 1st gen Eclipse/Talon/Laser - It is AWD, turbo 2.0 4G63 and adds AWS (passive 3 degree after after 30 mph).

I had a few of these before and I never could find one in clean shape for a good platform to build. I want an all stock unmolested one with very little rust, fewer ones, with recorded history of it, etc and I landed up picking up one from Michigan in pretty good shape.

Mine is #205/1000.

 

Still for sale, I dropped the price down to 19000....Very fair, I feel.

Quick update - Did spring start-up over the weekend. OEM Battery was not producing a strong charge anymore. It has been replaced with a new Duralast Gold from Autozone with 3 year warranty.

 

How much for the rpf1's? I live in cedar rapids iowa so i could come pick up
