PA 1985 RX-7 FB 68k original miles (Philadelphia)

Year: 1985

Model: RX-7

1985 Mazda RX-7 FB with 68k original miles. This thing is nice....

I am the 3rd owner. Original owner sold it to 2nd owner in 2011 with 45k miles. She then sold it to me with 60k miles. I've put 8k on it, and it runs (and looks) like a champ.

This is one of the nicest, most original 1st gen RX-7s I've ever seen. It has been my daily driver for the past 6 months, and I've sorted out pretty much everything needed on this car. In the past year, it has the following:

New:
-Alternator
-Starter
-Battery
-Plugs
-Distributor Cap
-Racing pulleys and belts (double pulley)
-OEM Brass Radiator
-Wiper Motor
-AC charge
-Struts
-Control arm bushings
-Shock mounts
-ReSpeed Suspension Technique sport springs
-New (less than 800 miles) Toyo Proxes racing tires (not shown)

And a bunch of stuff I'm probably forgetting to mention.

Also

-NO RUST. Like, none. This was a Texas car, and is straight, clean and rust free
-MazdaSpeed pipes. Installed at time of purchase in 1985
-Service records for past 2+ years (serviced only at Mazda)
-Original buyers paperwork (sticker, buyers order, warranties, etc)
-Original floor mats in great condition
-Rat nest removal
-RX-7 car cover
-Original rubber bumper/stripping included (I think it looks better without it)

The bad:

If I were to keep it, I'd fix the following:
-A few minor dings/scratches. Nothing really noticeable. Only 2 'dings' I can find, both need the right angle to see. One small rock chip on hood.
-Stainless trim is peeling. The black paint, specifically. This is common to all Gen-1 RX's, what do you expect when they paint stainless steel....
-Would likely replace the weatherstripping on windows and doors. It doesn't need it (no leaks), but would look better if replaced
-Vinyl on doors (where door meets window) is rippling. Would likely get re-stretched

As you can see, the items 'needed' are all cosmetic. It needs nothing, but being so nice already I'd do the above if I were keeping it.....

But I'm not. Picked up a 911 Turbo and can only drive one car at a time.

If you are looking for a great example of a first-gen RX-7, this is your car. These pictures are a few months old (and thus don't show the new tires) but the car is pretty much the same today. I can email current pictures to you if you are seriously looking. Questions, just ask! Many more photos available via email if interested. Some of these show the old tires, some of them new (should be obvious). Thanks!

Reasonable offers considered. Better hurry before I decide to put in some pack and pinion and keep it

I had an 85 RX7. Sorry, but I don't see where this is a S, GS, GSL or GSL-SE model. Also, I get an error when I click on the link to the photos of the car.

It's working for me now. It's a nice car. I actually liked my 82 GS (12a) better than the 85 GSL-SE (13b). It just felt more nimble and cornered better.
