Pics are finally up. See 2nd post for additional images.

Car is currently garaged in Dublin, Ohio outside of Columbus.

2008 Mazda RX-8 40th Anniversary Edition "4 door" coupe.

Car is in near-mint condition. I could only find one tiny nick in the paint when I bought it. Shift and drives perfectly.

Just over 13,000 miles !!! No, that is not a typo.

Grey exterior
Brick Red ( Cosmo Red ) leather interior
6 spd manual transmission
232hp Renesis rotary engine - still under Mazda extended engine warranty
2nd owner
Always garaged.

Clean title !!!
There is currently a loan on the car.

Fully loaded with all options
leather, Bose speakers, moonroof, rear spoiler, rotary accents, power everything, previous owner had an excellent aftermarket DVD/Navigation/Bluetooth/iPod/MP3/CD stereo professionally installed. It is seamlessly integrated into the dash and even has a rear backup camera. It works with all steering wheel audio controls. The Metra adapter allows all OEM functionality. There is also a subwoofer installed into the trunk. Previous owner also installed some very subtle, tasteful accents like clear corner lights and b-pillar appliques.

asking $18,500 or best reasonable offer

- in no hurry to sell - this car is worth every dollar, so please no lowballers.

I have one, they don't come with push-button start, and the interior is COSMO red (after the original Cosmo interior) so that is incorrect in the listing. They have keyless start but it is not push-button. Car looks good. I wonder when was last time it was regularly driven ?

What brand and model is that neat aftermarket audio/dvd/nav. combo ?

I attempted to buy it but received crickets. I ended up buying a different 40AE with equally low miles and great condition. This looks like a great car and I hope someone else has better luck.

I will admit that due to a crazy work schedule, a new baby, summer vacation and enduring an exhausting and expensive home renovation I have been slow to respond to some people and I apologize.

WireBoy,

I sent some extra pics, but apparently you didnt' get them. Also, you sent me a small list of things that your were "disappointed" with like the fact that the car doesn't have the appearance package, etc. So, I assumed you were looking for something that was exactly what you wanted.

Sorry it didn't work out.

It is Alpine. It's pretty slick and the whole setup is very nicely installed and integrated into the car.

Car is driven regularly and sees rpms, but it clearly doesn't see alot of long cruises. Whenever I get up to Columbus I usually take it out and flex the engine.

I know this doesn't help you sell the car but if I were in the continental US I'd come buy it from you. I've decided that the 40th AE MT is exactly the 8 I want to end up with.

The 40th AE is exactly the RX-8 I want as well. But it doesn't make sense for me to have one like this right now especially with the low miles. I need a family beater car. If I start driving this as my beater it will have 50k miles on it by this time next year and I don't want to "destroy" it. It's too nice.

I wish

I am really interested... But you are a bit too far away, I live in NJ, right across the river from NYC. I'm still recovering from the disappointment of missing out on the chance of nabbing a '11 R3 that had 515mi on it... Hope you find a loving new owner for it!
