Just a suggestion. I know the current engine has only 40,000 miles on it. A good compression test will sell this car quick. I would have a compression test done and cover the cost in whatever deal you make with your buyer. .

It's been awhile and it still has not sold. I have my other 8 being built, and driving this one as a daily.
I'm kicking down the price to $5500. The '04 Rx8 blue book value is like $4800. Others in Florida will sell for $4k to $4500 all day, but with engines that have around 100k+ miles on them! I'll get interested buyers every week, but 4 out of 5 of them bought other Rx8s for less with bad engines, or other mechanical problems like power steering.
It's hard to sell at a lower price. I bought it with a blown engine for $5k and found the reman engine for $1000, and swapped it out myself. Everything works perfect, no check engine light, and the body and interior are great.
I'll keep posting on the status of the sell. Thanks everyone for the advice.

You say everything works perfect, we believe you. Get that compression test done with good results and you WILL sell this car quickly. Just add your test costs onto the price of the car. Otherwise buyers may be hesitant at your listed price,I think.
