Supras are nice cars. One of many classics (Skyline, RX7, RX8, NSX, etc). Though completely different than the RX8 -- stiffer ride, less luxurious, etc. Just completely different... to each his own.

true enough,
I didn't buy the Rx-8 for straight line speed (i dont think anyone on this forum did).
The rx-8 is way more comfortable, way more luxurious, way better looking (imho) and handles much much better.
Those are things that matter about 99% of the time. I was driving in the car with my fiancee yesterday, and she mentioned that it would be really nice to take a road trip in the rx-8 because its so nice and comfortable. I've never heard her say that about any of the other sports cars I've owned, all she'd normally do is complain.

LoL
What is that supposed to prove?
A Mustang is faster then an RX8 and so are alot of other cars in the world. If you want a supra go troll on there forums cause that is all you have been doing. I just went through all your threads and posts and you have not really contributed much to this forum other then mindless questions.

The 4th gen supra is starting to get dated. Once toyota comes out with the replacement, i'm guessing under their 'F' platform. Hopefully it will retain the same qualities in the same manner Nissan brought out the 'GTR' to success the R34.
But again, your asking for a comparison of a car 10 years apart.
In comparison, I hope the future rx-* will retain a version of the suicide doors, as a family car this was a key item for me getting this car.... Though understandably alot of people would like the rx-7 reincarnated.
It's always easier to increase performance IMO, so having an OEM vehicle feel like it's riding to stiff for ones taste may wind up turning away a potential customer. Mazda has been great to bring a near 50/50 balance to the 8. In following BMW's 3 series also now share a near 50/50 weight distribution.
In short. Some company's have a niche market in mind, (3rd gen rx7, 4th gen supra, mitsu 3000gt vr-4). But to try and deliver an all in one package is pretty hard to attain....

Being that this is the General Automotive section of the forum I don't see what the problem is. There are plenty of other conversations about different cars in this section and I don't hear anyone else being told to "go to another forum."

4th gen supra's have a high buy in cost and a crazy insane resale value. I remember looking at a 92' tt on a dealer lot and the dealer wanted 38K for it and i think he eventually got it. They are not a small car and while i would not call them heavy they are not a light car about so around 3500lbs. They were made to be a fast, good handling GT car and that is what they are. I personalty don't consider them a sports car but i have a rather strict definition of "sports car". The motors are famous for being extremely strong and will hold 500-600hp with out blowing up. I personally wave never been very fond to the exterior stying although i do not consider it an ugly car . I think that these cars are not as popular as they once were and cars and parts have come down some.
I also think that a supra forum would be able to tell you more.
Personally if i was determined to have a car like this i would probably buy a cheep 3rd gen supra with a blown head gasket and just swap the 2JZ in and save a chunk of change, spray paint the intercooler flat black, and scare the sh*t out of people at stop lights.

lets put it this way, i had a chance to buy a 98 toyota supra TT, or a 2004 mazda rx8 back in 04. i went for the rx8, i gave it a chance and i would never go back from that decision. i was a HP ***** before, but now i learned its not about hp, its about the balance of the car, im a track person, not a drag person so i prefer the rx8 over the supra. i love my 8, and i had a chance to get a supra once again a few months ago and i turned it down. i dont care much for a mkiv anymore on the other hand, an fd3s is a car i wouldnt mind from the age of super cars from japan.
