BMW 128i testdrive.....
...didn't end so well.
I work at a Subie dealership which shares the same building as a BMW Collision Center.
This was parked in our compound the other day and as I walked by I was like whoa, 1-Series?!
Apparently 3 younger males had the car out for a test-drive the other day and took it to the air-port near the BMW dealership... I guess the story is that they hit some kind of curb/wall type thing...
Anyways, some pics! (Not the best quality, as they are taken with my cell phone)

Yeah that video is a good laugh... IT came to mind INSTANTLY when I found out that this was indeed a test-drive...
"Hmmm yeah, I really can't do a Silver car" (As opposed to Black car like in the video lol)
Or "Hmmmm, I don't find the handling all that crisp, it has a tendency to hit walls at high-speed"

Wow you can't tell what's missing? Damn, anyone can spot the missing face/head on that one guy. There's a big black square, how can you miss it? Forum dumbasses these days...

Math is your friend:
BMW 128i:
3340 or so lbs
230 rated hp
no LSD
Mazda RX8:
3050 or so lbs
232 rated hp
LSD
The only places the 128i is better than the RX8 is on interior quality, 4 yrs free maintenance and fuel economy.
For everything performance related it loses to the rX8. The 128i isn't a bad car at all but if you like a sports car or even sporty driving the RX8 is the better and cheaper choice.
Now if gas hits $5 a gallon the 128i looks a whole lot better (for the number of mile I drive).

a friend of mine is a body guy and he just repair a newer z coupe with front end damage. he replace the hood, fender, headlight, frame stub section and a few other things. $12,000. i'd hate to know what it's going to cost to fix that 128.

I'm no expert, but I don't think it would be worth it to fix...

I have a coworker who wants to look at 1 Series. She's not a car enthusiast whatsoever and knows nothing about the 1 Series. She just likes BMWs. (rolling eyes). The power of branding and marketing to make people want your car just for a blue and white badge.
