The Alabama State Troopers are currently involved in the T.A.C.T. Program which is designed to Ticket Aggressive Cars and Trucks. This is a state wide campaign and involves the use of unmarked cars and SUVʼs to catch aggressive drivers. Right now there are several grey Chevy Tahoeʼs, white and silver Dodge Chargers and one silver-colored Infinity being used by the State Troopers on I-565. Next week they will be using a BMW. These cars generally have NO markings and can not be determined to be a police vehicle until they initiate the strobes which are all in the interior of the vehicle. Task Force officers have already observed these unmarked State Trooper cars ticketing vehicles on I-565.
I'd imagine it will be implemented in other parts of the southeast as well. For those not familiar, 565 is in North AL.

In washington they have a few RX-8's and EVO's they use in Kent (big street racer scene next to Bremerton's scene) and I've personally met a few of them, though I wasn't stupid enough to race a cop because I identified em at the lights they try hard to get you to race them up here, and I've seen alot of other cars used as well, up to date tabs, insurance, license, and reasonable speed limit is my big defense against anything, use blinkers too...

They have had them here too, but considering the targeting of aggressive driver's in this particular campaign, I thought I'd pass it on. I guess I'm going to have to find another spot for 'cleaning out the pipes'. I just bought a new rb exhaust.

LOL you think that's bad, try convincing the cops your Mustang with a Turbo bigger than his head is "street legal" and Emissions approved. Let alone your exhaust note, and I've done it more than five times here, it's ridiculous...

California did not believe in unmarked cars (1970s) I hope they stayed that way. They had the theory, if you see a police car on the road with you - you will behave. And that is what it is all about.
In Connecticut, all the cars they impound - that become State Property are used as unmarked cars, so you never know if that new Ferrari or that beat up Volkswagen next to you is official.
Just thought I'd throw that in to the discussion. I've got to get my mind back onto work.

Rumor has it that there's also a red new mustang with white racing stripes too. I haven't seen that one myself, but now I know to look out for that one.
