where to stay for Homestead?
#2
There's not much to do in Homestead (other than the race track, entrance to Everglades Nat.l Park, and a few good Mexican restaurants- the rest is farmland).
You should stay in Miami and drive down. It's a 25 min. drive w/o traffic.

i may just go to race and then be too tired to do anything
but i do need to find a decent place to stay, and if there are none near by, i'll have to make the drive heh
also, are there any good speed shops near homestead or in miami where i can try on gloves? been looking for a good pair of racing gloves but i've got no where to try them on. thanks!

No problem.
The website doesn't seem to support online shopping, but the store is definately there. My office is a couple blocks away from it.
I seriously doubt they would have anything SFI rated, but there's also this place in Aventura (a Miami suburb)

FWIW, I went through a set of expensive Sparco gloves quickly and am now using these durable, affordable, comfortable gloves:

Have fun!
