Who's in Nashville or nearby who want to meet up?
On Friday Jan 30th, Brillo and I are flying to Cincinatti. I'm buying a 1990 RX-7 and driving all the way back to Houston. Our goal for that night is to make Nashville in time to hit up some brewpubs. Anyone around there who wants to meet up? I've never been there and won't be there for very long so we'd love to meet some fellow forum members while we can. Saturday morning we are going to head out for New Orleans and stay there that night and hopefully repeat the same thing. It's really just a drive to buy a car but turning it into a mini trip will just make it fun. Anyone in?

oops your going across west tennesse louisville to nashville
I was thinking lexington, knoxville, then I-40 to nashville. If per say you were going this way it would be a great drive. Bars knoxville, cut I-40 for I-75 on to Atlanta's bars and cars, then to the bars in New Orleans, and finally home. I guess that is a few miles out of the way though.
And just FYI tennesse has a very small rx-8 community. I've been looking all over for more than a year now and the only thing I have found is a club in Huntsville, AL.

i live in LaVergne, it's about 25 min from Nashville. Unfortunately i can't hit up the brewpubs cause i'm only 18, but there are definately some good places downtown. it's just gonna be cold as hell downtown if you go at night.
and i've seen 3 other rx8's around here. ones yellow and the other 2 are black like mine.

It depends on where you go downtown, there's a few place which are 18+, and it may not be that cold tonight was around 40 which isn't to bad.

The places we were looking at going to were also restaurants and not standalone bars so I wouldn't think there'd be an age issue. Who knows though?
I'm only going to be by the Cincinnati airport so I guess technically I'll never get into Ohio. The plan is really to fly in, meet up with the guy near the airport, make sure it's OK, buy it and then begin the drive immediately south. Got to get away from that white cold stuff as soon as possible.
Erick, no it's not an FD. He'd have to pay ME if it were an FD!!! If I did buy one of them, the first thing I'd do is remove and sell the engine, turbos, and transmission and replace them with a Renesis and 6 speed transmission. I'd leave it n/a. That would **** off some FD owners!
I'm getting a '90 GXL. Top of the line nonturbo. I don't really want another turbo right now. Been there done that. I want a reliable car I can just drive and not worry about. My 1st gen is still my experimental car so I can get my fix there (if I ever get it done).
