Anyone in NYC driving around with a Midpipe?
I was just wondering if any of you NYC guys were driving around with midpipes? I'm curious to know if cops in NYC, especially Queens, even care about exhaust noise? Anyone been ticketed for noise pollution?

yes, for this one and my first rx8 and I never had a problem. i'm in queens btw.
probably because it's the dual resonated racing beat one and it's VERY tame...
I however HAVE been pulled over.. by unsuspecting motorists (by flashing their high beams) because I constantly am shooting flames unintentionally and they are just letting me know lol.. I suspect that could be a problem for cops if they are a ways behind me and that happens

In my case it did not.
Check out the size of the resonators on the racing beat midpipe.
Besides that, the BHR is the only one with that low level of sound increase (due to the type of resonator they used).
But generally midpipes on this car, midpipes tend make it quite loud (and raspy), particularly at high rpms.

I have the RB mid pipe and love it! I went with this one because it was more quiet than any other as I didn't want it to loud to. I have the autobahn titanium exhaust and I love the combo. I wounder how much lower the sound gets when I put that turbo on.

The city is so loud anyway, I figured no one would notice. I never thought about the flaming issue though... I wonder how I would explain that to a cop! LOL
