Wondering if this is a good buy

I am looking around to possibly purchase my second car, an RX-8.
I have found a few that seem interesting...

2005 RX-8 Touring-41k miles-$9,000
2007 RX-8 Sport-10k miles-$17,000

any suggestions would be great

im just worried about the miles on it. I need one that will last me a good long time. it will be my daily car so it needs to last a while.

Your post said it was to be your second car. But I used mine and a DD for the first 4 years, put 110,000 in my first motor. Some of those miles were track miles so who knows how long it might have gone. That still doesn't change what I posted get the 05.

Ok. I really like this deal it is the best i have seen. I am just unsure if i want to be in debt and make payments right now. Im 19 and in college at the moment and im wondering if it would be worth it to spend the money right now. which is why i need it to last a long time

Well that changes things a little, I am an old timer (43) I would strongly advice incurring unneeded debt at your age. If you don't have the cash or a great part time job I would wait till you finished school to get a car like this.

that's what i was thinking too, i mean i would be able to afford the payments and insurance. i was just thinking like this is an amazing deal and idk if i should just pass it up.

btw when i said second car i meant that it would be my second car ever haha i would trade my current car in

Well, I'm not going to repeat my sage advice a third time!

Seriously, don't go into debt for a used car. One of the best reasons to buy a used car is to avoid going into debt on a new car.

thats a very good point. the monthly of a new car is just crazy for my budget though haha i work 3 days a week and make $1000 a month maybe. that wouldn't work so well having to pay $450 a month on a new car.
