Test drove my first rx-8
Just joined.
So picture this. I am with bro inlaw as he gets his 3's oil changed and I see the rx8 r3 and say that is a pretty nice looking car. Never thought much about the car. My current ride is g37s and s2000. Had base Cayman bfore those.
So the sales guy n I go out really because I'm killing time with my bro in law.
Let me just say WOW!! This is a Cayman with better seats! So now I convince my in law to do several compare test drives.
First Evo- nice but the feel of the steering did not match the rx8 IMO. Then onto 335. Tons of power and steering feel felt like rx8. Felt heavy because it is. Then grand sport-corvette- just gobs of torque but numb steering.
Ok- so me want.
Several questions:
How much longer are they going to be making r3 version? (I would prefer to order)
Related to above - would you buy a tester like I drove? Had 45 miles on it but saw 2 people test after I drove. Don't know if they romped on it or not.
Would like to join the Mazda family soon so any advice would sure be appreciated. Thanks.

You should read this article about the R3: http://www.windingroad.com/articles/...r3-stands-all/
Mazda has decided to make the RX8 for only one more year. As for the R3??? In the US, it is only available in one color and build level, unless there is an older one around. So, there isn't a need to order one.
