Let me say it again, your best bet for getting any kind of work done in the Chicago area is to hook up with A-Spec tuning ( www.a-spectuning.com ) and then plan on heading down with the Chicago club to the Rotary Revolution event:

How many of you Chicago 8 owners are thinking of hooking in with the Chicago caravan down for a weekend of rotary driving fun at this year's Revolution?

However, if you're the least bit handy with a wrench, exhausts are one of the easier things you can do yourself... especially on a new car (bolts aren't rusted yet). I replaced my Miata's OEM with a Borla catback a couple years back and it was cake, aside from loosening the 5 year old bolts on the cat. I haven't looked under the 8 yet, but typically you just disconnect from the cat, remove the O2 sensor, and slip the exhaust off the rubber hangers. Install in reverse (using some soapy water to lube the hangers).
Maybe we need to have a tech-day get together when the weather gets better do some projects like these...

Yeah that would be great for a tech day. Living downtown I don't have access to a garage, even though I live in a high rise with indoor parking, management are kind of dicks if you try to do any work on your car. If anyone is interested in taking on the task with me or supply a garage, I have some tools and I'll supply the beers.

That's sounds awesome and I may take you up on that offer if and when I get my RX8store exhaust. Since Jason has them in stock and it only takes 3-5 days to get to Chicago, I'm just holding off until the weather gets even better.

I live in bartlett, my garage is always open to an 8. I put my Borla on with no probs. I used wheel ramps and they provided enough height to the car to get everything done (Took about an hour). Just say the word.

We should have an "Install and exhaust Day"
Hey BRx8, what exhaust did you decide on? If either the Borla or RX8store, maybe Jason would cut us a deal if we buy two at the same time.

i'd have to check the soundclips all over again...when do you plan on buying again? also, do you plan on going Stage 2? for $75 more, i think i'm gonna go that route since i don't like how my car idles right now with the newest flash...it's very rough
