Hey guys, new to the forum here
so, i have been thinking of possibly buying a used car. my choices are now between an s2000, probably an ap1, or an rx8. love the high redlines....i have experience driving a manual and these will not be my first cars....just looking for input on both bits of machinery, including known problems etc. etc. thanks for your help guys and im looking forward to possibly being a member of the community

SEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRCH
There are literally hundreds of threads about everything you're asking. we can be a very welcoming bunch, but some pointless post of 'uh what's good or bad about this car' just annoys everyone. if you have a specific question, ask us, there are extremely helpful and knowledgeable people here, otherwise use the search box or look at the stickies. good luck.

sup brad! thanks for looking into this car
please do a quick search of the forums and check out all the stickies, once you read everything you will have a good idea what the rx8 is all about then you can come back with any questions you may have
probly do the same on some s2k forums as well.

thanks for clarifying...they are very similar cars dynamics wise...start with the main difference...do you want a convertible 2-seater or do you have use for 2 pretty useable back seats + trunk? both are handling-oriented cars that will not kick you in the butt accelerating.

ya, im aware they are quick, but they were both purpose built with the track and twisties in mind.
and honestly, i like convertables, insurance is not an issue so it wouldnt stop me, but i could live without one. and as far as the seats i guess the same goes. and in regards to the trunk i was pleasantly suprised at the trunk space provided from the smaller s2k
