Are u tired of rough idle??
So recently i had an issue where my intake screen flew into my throttle body and caused some issues nothing serious but was just unsafe! With the help of so e very knowledgable club memebers I found and fixed that problem by removing said screen and putting it back in the intake thanx again guys
now what I noticed when I took the screen out was how it was bent and some of the screen popped and there were gaps/holes in it. Did some searching around and Ive learened that the intake screen smooth the air flow going to the engine so I decided to play around with this and see what I could come up with!
What I did I purchase some screen material from home depot about 3-4 dollars, I have an AEM intake so this was pretty simple for me I wrapped the screen around the end of the intake tube (the end towards the front bumper then I just place the rubber connectors and tighten the clamps REALLY tight)
THE DIFFERENCE: right off the back the throttle response was so much smoother all the way through the RPM's the car sounded better and performance was very satifying! The most important thing that caught my attention was the idle it idle at 800 and stayed steady no jumping no misfire no noise whatsoever! The car was so smooth I barely knew it was on the vibration was gone in idle and in reverse
this is jus my experience that I wanted to share with you guys so if u have vibration issues check your intake screens cuz maybe that could be it

Yea I was doing about 50 on a highway when I dropped from 4th to 3rd It shot right into the throttle body and the car just went nuts it would change gears on it's own and I had no break response I had to drop it into nuetral and floor the breaks as hard as possible and use the hand brake was not a good experience
yea I always had rough idle I replaced my engine mounts earlier this year but it didn't do much

hmm im having rouch idle problems too i got a carbon fiber intake box system from simata and had no screen in it and it would idle at 800 than down to like 500 or so and back and forth soo i asked around on here they said it was because i didnt have that screen soo i took the stock screen from my old intake and put it in my new intake and sealed it and such....it seemed better but now its doing it again and almost feels boggy and hard starting cranking over almost like its flooded is this a coil problem..? and plugs? my buddy has a rx7 and i seen how crappy it is to get plugs out haha soo any tell tale signs to check for?
