Battery goes dead at times
Just had this happen for the second time since I bought the car used in April. Go out to start the car after it had been in the garage for about a week and the battery was totally dead. The first time I determined it was due to the battery being old and it had a shorted cell as confirmed with a battery tester so I replaced the battery. To my knowledge none of the lights were left on, at least they weren't on when I put the battery charger on the car. Nothing was turned on that I could tell. Has anyone else had this happen to them before?

I think I understand what you mean by "dark Current" draw (base current needed to hold CPU data, etc) but not sure how I would check that. Also, the charging system appears to be working properly but will do a double check on it this evening when I get off work.

What is the charging rate? Should be 14.25 volts; don't forget to check the belt tension too.
