Clutch issues???
Ok here the deal maybe you can guide me in the right direction.
My GF's 8 was having issues shifting into gear and a friend said it was the slave cylinder (clutch master). It was swapped but it didn't fix the problem. I then noticed the clutch fork was stuck all the way to the rear position on the trans case. I worked it loose and it now moves freely forward and aft. Now I have swapped another slave cylinder in and every time I bleed it the valve pushes out the back of the slave cylinder.
I am at a loss. I bleed the line by running a tube from the bleed nipple straight to the master cylinder reservoir until no bubbles are present. I push the clutch pedal in and tighten the bleed nipple...and still no pressure to the clutch pedal. I give it a few pumps and pressure builds in the slave cylinder and then the valve pops out the back of it again. Honestly am I doing something wrong? Never had this problem when I worked on the race car???
